The same as for rail transport has been done for road transport. Although here link counts
existing of UN ECE exist for selected roads within Europe, which helped within the process of
building the underlying synthetic matrix, these data are not that sufficient, that a cross check
with data the national authorities might (or supposed to) have would be obsolete.
