for the year 2000 (in tsd. passengers), cover the indicated direction of travel and do not include<br />
flows within the same region (only long distance flows available).<br />
This very detailed level is dedicated for experts within the country, to have a critical view on the<br />
flows shown. The extract shows the three different levels of regionalisation. For domestic flows<br />
like the indicated ODpair form FR101 to FR832 origin as well as destination is available on the<br />
NUTS3 level. International flows between France and neighbouring countries (like FR101 to<br />
IT1) are shown on the NUTS3 level for France and the NUTS1level for the neighbouring<br />
country, while flows from France to other (not neighbouring) countries are shown on NUTS3<br />
for France and NUTS0 for the destinating country. The same level of aggregation holds for the<br />
passenger flows passing a country on surface transports (rail and road). Flows to / from<br />
neighbouring countries are shown for that country on NUTS1 level, while origins or<br />
destinations in other countries are available on the NUTS0 level.<br />
