The <strong>Endopore</strong> implants have a standard<br />

Morse Taper implant-to-abutment interface<br />

and are supplied in both 4.1 mm and 5.0 mm<br />

implant diameters, each having a 4.8 mm<br />

abutment platform diameter. This allows both<br />

the 4.1 mm and 5.0 mm diameter implants to<br />

accept the same prosthetic components. Each<br />

implant diameter is available <strong>with</strong> a 1.8 mm<br />

transgingival collar. A 1 mm low profile cover<br />

screw is packaged <strong>with</strong> each implant.<br />

UCLA Abutments<br />

UCLA abutments provide a foundation to<br />

which wax can be added to shape a screwretained<br />

crown or bridge or a custom abutment.<br />

See the Prosthetic Instrumentation<br />

section for the lapping tool used to polish the<br />

cast surface that will mate <strong>with</strong> the implant.<br />

A reamer is also available to clean out the<br />

retaining screw hole in the casting. Gold base<br />

abutments have machined surfaces and will<br />

not require finishing <strong>with</strong> these tools.<br />

Hexed UCLA abutments should be used for<br />

custom abutments and for supporting crowns<br />

as they will resist the rotational forces associated<br />

<strong>with</strong> single tooth screw retained restorations.<br />

The red O-Ring is used for laboratory set-up<br />

and the white O-Ring is used for the finished<br />

overdenture. The O-Ring abutment system can<br />

UMA System Abutments<br />

The UMA (Universal Modification Abutment)<br />

system is used for screw retained restorations<br />

where it is desired to have the points of<br />

attachment superior to the soft tissue. Where<br />

there is insufficient clearance to use a UMA<br />

or when a sub-gingival separation is desired,<br />

a UCLA abutment can be used to achieve separation<br />

of the restoration at the implant level.<br />

The UMA is a transmucosal collar that should<br />

be secured to the implant <strong>with</strong> 30 Ncm of<br />

torque. The UMA screw used to secure the<br />

restoration to the abutment is packaged <strong>with</strong><br />

each UMA plastic coping. A 0.05“ <strong>hex</strong> driver<br />

is used to secure the screw which should<br />

only be tightened to 20 Ncm.<br />

mm smooth coronal region. The 3.5 mm diameter implant is<br />

available in a 1 mm smooth coronal region.<br />

UCLA Abutments<br />

UCLA abutments provide a foundation to which wax can be<br />

added to shape a screw-retained crown or bridge or a custom<br />

abutment. See the Prosthetic Instrumentation section for the<br />

lapping tool used to polish the cast surface that will mate <strong>with</strong><br />

the implant. A reamer is also available to clean out the retaining<br />

screw hole in the casting. Gold base abutments have ma-<br />

chined surfaces and will not require finishing <strong>with</strong> these tools.<br />

Hexed UCLA abutments should be used for custom abutments<br />

and for supporting crowns as they will resist the rotational<br />

UMA System Abutments<br />

The UMA (Universal Modification Abutment)<br />

system is used for screw retained restorations<br />

where it is desired to have the points of<br />

attachment superior to the soft tissue. Where<br />

there is insufficient clearance to use a UMA<br />

or when a sub-gingival separation is desired,<br />

a UCLA abutment can be used to achieve separation<br />

of the restoration at the implant level.<br />

The UMA is a transmucosal collar that should<br />

be secured to the implant <strong>with</strong> 30 Ncm of<br />

torque. The UMA screw used to secure the<br />

restoration to the abutment is packaged <strong>with</strong><br />

each UMA plastic coping. A 0.05“ <strong>hex</strong> driver<br />

is used to secure the screw which should<br />

only be tightened to 20 Ncm.<br />
