TSA Member Company Eligibility Requirements:
Eligibility is for any company that is an active, participating member “in good standing” of the Texas Sign Association as described below:
• Company must be a member of TSA at the time of submission.
• TSA dues must be paid in full by the design and production member companies at the time of submission entry and deadline
date.
Entry Eligibility Requirements:
All entries MUST be received by May 1, 2013. Late entries will not be accepted.
• Only signs designed and manufactured by TSA members will be eligible in Categories 1-6, with the exception of Category 7.
• Signs previously entered are not allowed in any category.
• Entries from past due and non-members are not eligible and will be returned to the submitting company.
• Each member company may enter a maximum of three (3) entries per category. Categories are described below.
• All entries become the property of TSA.
• All entries must be complete in order to be displayed for judging. Incomplete entries will be disqualified.
• Send each entry under a separate e-mail message using the subject of TSA Design Contest (Name of Entry) to
Leona@txsigns.org.
• The Frank Page Award, which is considered the best overall design from the Category 1-6 first place winners, is selected by TSA
members in attendance at the TSA Annual Conference. The Category 7 first place winner is not considered for the Frank Page
Award.
• The Design Contest Committee reserves the right to break ties, in the event that one does occur, in any said category.
• Companies with first place winning entries must agree to provide a photo in RAW format at 8”x10”, 300 dpi, for production of the
membership directory.
• Winners will be asked to provide a Company Profile.
Categories:
1. Large freestanding electric signs 100 sq. ft. or larger in any one direction.
2. Smaller freestanding electric signs 99 sq. ft or smaller in any one direction.
3. Electric building signs, illuminated internally and/or externally with exposed neon.
4. Commercial signs which are non-illuminated or externally illuminated. Category includes sandblasted, routed, vinyl, or painted
renderings that may be attached or freestanding, dimensional letters mounted to a sub-surface such as brick or concrete are also
included.
5. Graphics and lighting.
6. Integrated sign design packages consisting of various signs used at one location to complement each other. (None of the signs can
be previous entries.)
7. Signs manufactured by TSA members but designed by non-member firms and/or designers. Restorations and renovations
should also be placed in this category.
Voting:
• All eligible entries will be posted on the TSA website.
• Online voting will be open June 1, 2013, to all members in good standing.
• Member companies in good standing will have one (1) online vote. Vote online at www.txsigns.org.
• Online voting closes noon June 19, 2013
• Member companies will have the opportunity to vote at the Annual Conference
• Winners will be announced June 21, 2013 during the Design Contest Presentation at the TSA Annual Conference.
Awards:
• Awards will be presented to the winning sign designs for first, second and third place in each category.
• Certificates will be presented to the designers for first, second and third place in each category.
• First place winners in all categories will receive a $100.00 monetary award
• The first place winners in Categories 1-6 will be eligible for the Frank Page Award. The winner of this award is considered the best
overall design and the designing artist will be awarded $500 from TSA.

Official Entry Form
All entries MUST be received by May 1, 2013. No late entries will be accepted.
Send each entry under a separate e-mail message using the subject of TSA Design Contest (Name of Entry) to
Leona@txsigns.org. Official Entry Form must be attached to the e-mail as a word document.
Each entry for each category must be accompanied by the following:
Categories 1-5, 7
Category 6
Maximum of (2) high quality digital color photos of the actual sign at installation site;
E-mail photos should be 8”x10” tiff, jpg or jpeg at 300 dpi high resolution color.

Companies with first place winning entries must agree to provide a photo in RAW format at 8”x10”, 300 dpi, for
production of the membership directory. Please mail a CD of this file to the TSA office. Winners will be asked to
provide a Company Profile.
