OHIO STATE DENTAL BOARD BOARD MEETING MINUTES NOVEMBER 5, 2008 PAGE 6 Michelle C Whited 31-006403 08-77-0395 Ms. Staley asked for clarification as to whether these licensees did not respond to any of the Board’s earlier correspondence or if the individuals had been offered retirement in lieu of formal action by the Board. Ms. Bockbrader indicated that the aforementioned licensees had not responded in any manner to the Board’s Notice of Opportunity for Hearing as issued. Ms. Bockbrader then requested that the evidence as submitted be admitted into the record. Dr. Hills accepted the State’s Exhibits in this matter and entered them into evidence. EXECUTIVE SESSION Motion by Dr. Howard, second Ms. Staley, to move the Board into executive session pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Section 121.22(G)(1) to deliberate and consider the charges and evidence presented in these matters. Roll call vote: Dr. Armstrong – Yes Dr. Hills – Yes Dr. Desai – Yes Dr. Hanners – Yes Dr. Howard – Yes Dr. Kaye – Yes Dr. Kyger - Yes Dr. Leffler – Yes Ms. Naber – Yes Mr. Readler – Yes Ms. Staley - Yes Dr. Wallace - Yes Motion carried unanimously. OPEN SESSION The Board resumed open session at 2:12 p.m. Dr. Hills then stated, “Let the record reflect that I, Dr. Edward R. Hills was the secretary in these matters, and therefore I will abstain from final vote. Furthermore, I was not present during executive session and did not participate in the deliberations in these matters.”
OHIO STATE DENTAL BOARD BOARD MEETING MINUTES NOVEMBER 5, 2008 PAGE 7 DECISION IN THE MATTER OF AUTOMATICALLY SUSPENDED DENTISTS AND DENTAL HYGIENISTS FOR NON-RENEWAL OF LICENSURE Motion by Dr. Howard, second by Ms. Staley, that Count #1 in the Notice of Opportunity for Hearing is found to be true and that it is hereby Ordered that all licensees in this matter be indefinitely suspended with the standard terms and conditions: Discussion followed wherein it was decided that there should be terms for reinstatement of all dental and dental hygiene licenses.
