American Association of Dental Administrators/American Association of Dental
Examiners meeting held in mid-October. She did note that she had one announcement
she wished to share with the Board members. Ms. Reitz explained that one of the goals
of AADA in her term as President was to ask AADE to consider permitting a Dental
Board administrator to be represented on the AADE Executive Committee in an advisory
capacity. She was happy to note that for the first time in AADE history they have
chosen to appoint her to the Executive Committee as their newly appointed Dental
Board Administrative Member.
Ms. Reitz informed the Board members that she would be attending her first retreat
in this capacity in South Dakota during the first weekend in December.
ANYTHING FOR THE GOOD OF THE BOARD
ELECTION OF OFFICERS
Ms. Naber requested that Board return to the tabled motion regarding election of
officers. Discussion ensued wherein it was determined that the Board had decided to
hold its election of officers during its November meeting with the elected officers
positions becoming effective beginning in January 2009. Dr. Armstrong then opened the
floor for nominations.
Dr. Hills nominated Dr. Armstrong for President, Dr. Kyger for Vice President, Dr.
Howard for Secretary, and Dr. Leffler for Vice Secretary.
Dr. Armstrong asked if there were any other nominations. Noting that there were
none he stated that as such the nominations were closed. Additionally, he stated that
therefore that by acclamation the slate holds unopposed.
Board members expressed their congratulations to the newly appointed officers.
UPDATED BOARD ROSTER
Ms. Reitz distributed a revised version of the Board Roster and requested each Board
member to review their information for correctness and to inform her of any additional
changes.
