ADMISSION PROCEDURE
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor, specialized three year diploma, or specialized two year
diploma and two years experience in a field related to the
Master.
Submission of CV and Portfolio
Candidates with the minimum requirements are requested to send:
copy of bachelor or diploma with transcript, Curriculum Vitae,
statement of purpose, design projects portfolio (10-15 design
projects in a CD, with dates and descriptions for each image,
only for Master Courses in Design).
Language requirements
All candidates must have a good knowledge of English and/or
Italian in order to follow the Master course of their choice. All
applicants will be assessed on their language skills at the seat of
the interview or during a telephone interview, in Italian and/or
English.
Where to send material
Students should send their full application and Portfolio to the IED
International Affairs Office (see adress on the back). The attached
application form must be filled out and also included.
Students will be informed of the outcome of their application
within two weeks from receipt of the full application.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Limited admission
The Master courses are subject to
a limited number of participants.
Accommodation
Upon request by enrolled students,
IED will provide a list of
hotels, endorsed residences,
estate agencies and/or flat
shares.
Costs
Master Courses in Milan, Rome,
Barcelona and Turin: 14.500
euro (4000 euro enrolment
fee + 10.500 euro tuition fee)
Master courses in: Industrial
Design, Packaging Design,
Interior Design, Light
Design,Transportation Design,
will have one Free Toshiba
Laptop included in the price.
Master Courses in the new seat of
IED Venice (Yacht Design,
Photography) : will have a
promotional price for the first
year of 13.900 euro.
Master course in Cultural Heritage
Management Venice: 9800

and Venetian Arts Venice:

Master course in Graphic Design
Management Milan: 8500

Supplementary study pathways
The School Management may
decide to introduce supplementary
study pathways, geared
exclusively to those students
deemed in need of extra
tuition in order to improve the
necessary skills to successfully
complete their courses.
Diploma
A Diploma will be issued only to
students whose final design
projects are judged positively
by the commission, which is
composed of the Masters coordinator,
members of the
faculty and partner companies.
Other students will receive a certificate
of attendance.
Internships
Internships in selected companies
will be available for 30% of the
students, corresponding to the
best 30% students for each
master course.
Withdrawal from the Course
Withdrawal from the Master courses
is permitted only after
written notice has been submitted,
in accordance with the
following:
Withdrawal 1 month before the
beginning of the Master course:
forfeit of the enrolment fee,
the course fee will be reimbursed.
At the end of this period, any student,
who for any reason
withdraws from their Master
course, will be held liable to
pay the total amount of the
course fee and therefore will
not be eligible for the reimbursement
of any monies already
paid.
Cancellation of the Course
The Istituto Europeo di Design
reserves the right to cancel
Master courses, within a
month of the scheduled commencement
date. Enrolled students
will be informed by written
communication and all
fees already paid will be reimbursed,
without any further
costs.
Course seat
The Istituto Europeo di Design
reserves the right to change
the seat of the course (within
the same city) before or during
the master courses, in such
cases the same organisational
standards will be guaranteed.
