[IIJ Action taken under Section 8 of the Act During the year 7934 revenue recovery certificates were issued covering RS.17204.98 lakhs of Provident Fund arrears. This added to the brought forward un-executed recovery certificates constituted a workload of 25869 cases involving an amount of Rs. 64255.91 lakhs. Out of these 8568 certificates were executed by recovering an amountof Rs. 144)4.18 lakhs. At the close of the year 17301 certificates were pending involving an amount of Rs.49831.73 lakhs. The region-wise data of certificates issued, executed and pending at the end of the year is given at Appendix 5-3. [11/1 Action taken under Section 148 of the Act (Levy of damages) Amount pending for realisation at the beginning of the year was RS.7-+-+ij.85 lakhs. RS.8001.59 lakhs levied during the year. Total amount for realization was Rs. 15451.44Iakhs. Out of these, Rs. 5818.60 lakhs were recovered. A sum of RS.9632.84 lakhs was outstanding for collection at the end of the year. Region-wise details of penal damages imposed, collected and outstanding at the end of the year are given in Appendix S-2. [IV1 Action taken under Section 14 of the Act Prosecution cases were filed in the Criminal Courts in terms of the provisions (';ulltained in Section 14 of the Act against defaulting establishments and employers. Status position of these cases is given in Table: 14 and the Region-wise position appears at Appendix S-4.
