audiovisual work; a policy <strong>for</strong> art and education) with <strong>the</strong> participation <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> pr<strong>of</strong>essional<br />
community<br />
– re<strong>in</strong><strong>for</strong>ce de-centralised plann<strong>in</strong>g, i. e. develop<strong>in</strong>g strategies at regional and municipal<br />
levels<br />
– survey artistic activities and <strong>the</strong> activities <strong>of</strong> cultural entities focused on <strong>the</strong> creation,<br />
identification, presentation, <strong>in</strong>terpretation, distribution, and documentation <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>arts</strong><br />

phenomena, <strong>for</strong> example, prevent<strong>in</strong>g or combat<strong>in</strong>g drug abuse and crim<strong>in</strong>ality<br />
– social solidarity – <strong>the</strong> <strong>arts</strong> combat prejudices, are accessible to all social strata, generate<br />
situations <strong>for</strong> social ga<strong>the</strong>r<strong>in</strong>gs, facilitate social communication, help <strong>in</strong>tegrate<br />
<strong>for</strong>eigners, and are a part <strong>of</strong> a country’s national prestige and national image<br />
– promote <strong>the</strong> understand<strong>in</strong>g that live <strong>arts</strong> help to shape our identity and cultural heritage<br />
(which <strong>in</strong>volves <strong>more</strong> than just monuments or museum collections)<br />
– strive to work <strong>more</strong> actively with <strong>the</strong> public and search <strong>for</strong> new ways <strong>in</strong> which to appeal<br />
