The Tale of Flexible Duct Connector
In 1961 the design of Flexible Duct Connector was
filed by our founder Milton Hinden with the United
States Patent Office and the patent was awarded
four years later in 1965. The product today is still
manufactured to the same design as in 1961!
Prior to this invention, flexible connector was
produced on a hand brake by folding the edge of
two strips of steel over the fabric. In its time, this
new innovation was a huge time saver for the sheet
metal worker and Duro Dyne began its journey
into changing the way products were produced in
the trade.
Now, many of our competitors have started producing
product to this same design since the
patent has expired. Does this fact automatically
put Flexible Connector into the “commodity”
category? I THINK NOT!

9001-2008 certified which means the toughest
quality control procedures are enforced; our fabrics

Meet Some New Faces
at Duro Dyne
Bob Blair - Midwest Product
and Logistics Manager
My name is Bob Blair. I joined DD
in December 12’. I have lived in Ohio
for 25 years but grew up in
Minnesota. My wife and I live in the little town
of Oxford, Ohio (home to Miami University).
Between us there are 5 children ranging in age
from 23 down to two 16 year old boys. We are
100% an outdoors family. The summer is spent at
the lake skiing, wakeboarding, knee boarding,
etc, etc. Winters are spent at the ice rink or ski
slopes. I played college hockey and now coach
while the boys both play
high school hockey.
I’m Jim Iannazzo, a Bronx
native and have been
living on Long Island for
close to 23 years. I have
over 20 years of
accounting experience
specializing in accounts
payable and accounts
receivable. My work history
and education have given
James Iannazzo,
Jr. Accountant
me a strong skill set in the accounting field. On
the social and personal side, I enjoy time with
family and friends in all settings. I am an avid
Yankees fan and enjoy most sporting events.
Movies, weekend trips, and just enjoying a pleasant
evening at home are all good medicine for me.
My name is Steve Trant. I started
working for Duro Dyne on
February 4th, 2013 as an IT
Support Specialist. Throughout
my career in Information
Technology, I have worked in
the following industries
Environmental Clean up,
Gaming and Hospitality, Legal,
Stephen Trant,
IT Support Administrator
Pharmaceutical, and now
HVAC Manufacturing. During
my 10 years in the I.T. field, I
have held positions at various levels,
including management.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my
family, (my wife Lindsay, daughters Camryn and
Olivia, and our dogs Stewey and
Roxie) and friends, reading,
music, and working around
our home.
I'm Claudine Zegzula and I
joined the Duro Dyne team in
February 2013 as an
Accounting clerk. Coming to
Duro Dyne was the best decision
I could have made. I love
the people, the environment, and Claudine Zegzula,
best of all, I love working for Leo Accounting Clerk
and Joanne. I am very proud to have this opportunity
to work for such a great company and
determined to help the company to continue its
success.
I was born and raised in Selden, NY and have
three much older brothers who spoiled me well.
Currently, I have been married for nine years and
reside in East Patchogue with my husband and pet
pug, Cody. When I'm not at work, by staying
active, I enjoy riding my bike around town and
taking my dog for walks. I also love
to read, spending time at the
beach, cooking up new recipes
and taking time to be with my
friends and family.
Richard Peters,
Buyer/MRP Implementation
Hello, my name is Rich Peters and
I’m pleased to say I joined the
Purchasing staff in late April. With
20 plus years of hands on manufacturing experience
in the stamping and forming industry, my
hope is to be able to make a contribution to the
company’s future growth and success.
From my involvement in a family owned
machining business to having directly operated

stamping and forming equipment and performing
years of die repair, I’ve been around metal working
most of my life.
Advancing within a local stamping company
from Department Manager to General Manager,
has afforded me the opportunity to gain a broad
range of experience from production issues to
planning and purchasing that I think will relate
well to my responsibilities at Duro Dyne. The past
10 years of my career have been in the electronics
industry, advancing from Director of Manufacturing
to General Manager building everything
from cables and PC boards to full turnkey electro
mechanical assemblies. In my most recent position
with a local defense contractor I supervised
production of a major mobile surveillance system
along with other information integration projects
I’m Melissa Castor. I graduated
summa cum laude from Adelphi
University in 2012 with a BFA in
Graphic Design and a minor in
Art History. I’ve been with
DuroDyne in the Advertising
Department as a Graphic
Designer since December 2012
and am enjoying every minute of
it. I’ve lived on Long Island my
Melissa Castor, entire life, but enjoy traveling –
Graphic Designer I’ve even driven cross country!
I love all forms of art
including photography, art
history, and enjoy visiting art museums.

Alyssa Peluso to the position
of Advertising and Marketing
Manager. Alyssa joined the
company in 2004 as Graphic
Designer and has made significant
contributions supporting and
enhancing the image of both Duro Dyne and
RIZE in their respective industries.
Tom Boodhoo has been
promoted to the position of
Engineering Manager. In this
role, Tom will continue to lead
our engineering resources as
we modify and develop new
products to support our
customers’ needs for improved
efficiency and innovation, as
well as our own needs for the
same. Tom has been with the company
since 1995 and has made important
contributions supporting Duro Dyne's growth
in this highly completive industry.
