MODERATELY CHALLENGING Style: Robust Porter Character: Roasty ABV: 6.5% Festival Glass: 3 tokens BURLEIGH BREWING COMPANY QLD 30 Peach Saison A complex balancing act, this gathers peach characters from natural peaches and unique ‘peachy’ hops and wraps them around a medium hopped, refreshing, approachable Saison. Delicately dry hopped, this is pleasantly fruity but not sweet. EASIER DRINKING Style: Saison Character: Fruity/Spicy ABV: 4.8% Festival Glass: 3 tokens BYRON BAY BREWING CO NSW 31 Hefen and Hell Hefen and Hell is a Black Hefeweizen with soft, fluffy wheat malt upfront followed by a pleasingly dry roasty finish. Gotta love that name right?! MODERATELY CHALLENGING Style: Hefeweizen Character: Roasty ABV: 5.5% Festival Glass: 3 tokens CHEEKY MONKEY BREWERY WA 32 Death Dancer A black Red IPA (or RIPA) brewed with a ridiculous amount of rye to give it a heap of spice and pizzazz. They’ve then dry hopped this bad boy twice to give aromas of pine, resin and tropical fruits and finished it all off with a Belgian Abbey yeast for a touch of funk. MORE CHALLENGING Style: Specialty IPA Character: Hoppy ABV: 6.66% Festival Glass: 3 tokens CLIFTON HILL BREWPUB VIC 33 The Dark Hill A barrel aged and dry hopped English Dark Ale with a coffee malty overtone. It is a beer beyond labels and tasting notes; a recreation of something that touched the brewers in their past lives and they hope you enjoy it. That’s Black Forrest Cake f***ing with you.” For the uninitiated, this is a cherry, choc and vanilla Porter taking care of business. MODERATELY CHALLENGING Style: Porter Character: Roasty ABV: 8% Festival Glass: 4 tokens EAGLE BAY BREWING CO WA 39 Black and Tannin This collaboration brew with Mane Liquor features their three favourites things: IPA, dark malts and Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon. This Black IPA has been aged in Cabernet Sauvignon barrels. MODERATELY CHALLENGING Style: Specialty IPA Character: Hoppy ABV: 6.5% Festival Glass: 3 tokens EDGE BREWING PROJECT VIC 40 HazelNut EllaHops Hazelnut and cocoa flavours highlight this mouthwatering brew. Australian Ella hops provide some balance to the sweet, malty body but without overpowering this dark beer, which is unfiltered with lower carbonation.
