1986 年 にヨーロッパでデビューし 一 躍 世 界 にその 名 を 馳 せて
以 来 25 年 、 比 類 のない 美 意 識 とフィロソフィーで 世 界 のダンス
シーンを 牽 引 し 続 ける 勅 使 川 原 三 郎 。その 新 作 は、 現 代 音 楽 家
のリゲティのピアノ 曲 とオルガン 曲 、ノイズサウンドを 核 として
いる。
超 絶 技 巧 を 要 し、ピアノ 音 楽 の 限 界 を 打 ち 破 ったとされる「ピ
アノのためのエチュード」と、 聴 く 者 を 一 挙 に 異 空 間 へ 連 れ 去 る
ノイズ・サウンドが 交 錯 するなか、 研 ぎ 澄 まされた 身 体 が「 皮 を
剥 がされ、 時 間 や 空 間 、 重 力 や 意 味 が 揮 発 する 世 界 」へと 観 客
を 導 く。そこに 待 つのは 単 なるダンスではない、スリリングな 芸
術 体 験 だ。
勅 使 川 原 自 身 の 極 限 まで 研 ぎ 澄 まされたダンス、 自 ら 手 がけ
るインスタレーションや 照 明 はもちろん、 繊 細 さと 強 靭 さを 高 速
度 に 行 き 交 い 変 容 する 佐 東 利 穂 子 の 驚 くべきダンス。さらには
『 空 気 のダンス』(08 年 ) 以 来 、 勅 使 川 原 が 育 成 に 力 を 注 いでき
た 10 代 のダンサーたちに 注 目 が 集 まる。 質 感 を 自 在 に 操 る 究 極
の 身 体 制 御 が 展 開 する。
With a unique philosophical approach and ever-morphing forms
of expression, Saburo Teshigawara performs dance each year
domestically and abroad to great acclaim.
This premiere for F/T 2010, “SKINNERS – Dedicated to Evaporating
Things”, sees Teshigawara build on György Ligeti’s music with original
noise sound composed specially for this occasion. Ligeti is the
leading post-war composer known for blending imagination and a
highly honed sound beauty. With Ligeti’s “Études pour piano”, reputed
to go beyond the normal limits of piano music, the dance will in turn
push physical boundaries through its performers.

Saburo Teshigawara began his career in 1981 after studying plastic arts and classical
ballet. In 1985, he formed the company KARAS together with Kei Miyata. In addition to solo
performances and his work with KARAS, Teshigawara has also been commissioned by many
international ballet companies such as the Paris Opera to create repertoire pieces for the
company. Among his most representative works are “Mirror and Music” (2009), “Obsession”
(2009), “MIROKU” (2007), and “Glass Tooth” (2006). He has received numerous awards.
Among them are the Prix du Public at the Festival International de Nouvelle Danse in
Montreal, Canada (1989, 1991 and 1995), the Japan Ministry of Culture Art Encouragement
Prize (2007) and Purple Ribbon Prize (2009).

1953 年 東 京 生 まれ。クラシックバレエを 学 んだ 後 、81 年 より 独 自 の 創 作 活
動 を 開 始 。85 年 宮 田 佳 と 共 に KARASを 結 成 し、 既 存 のダンスの 枠 組 みで
は 捉 えられない 表 現 を 追 求 。 美 術 、 照 明 デザイン、 衣 裳 、 音 楽 構 成 も 自 ら 手
掛 け、 光 ・ 音 ・ 空 気 ・ 身 体 によって 空 間 を 質 的 に 変 化 させる 独 創 的 な 作 品
で、ダンス 界 のみならず、あらゆるアートシーンに 衝 撃 を 与 えている。また 近
年 はオペラの 演 出 も 手 がけ、 高 い 評 価 を 得 ている。
