ILS Terms and Conditions <strong>of</strong> Use<br />
Membership<br />
All <strong>Worcester</strong>shire Archaeological Society members may use the facilities provided<br />
by the department <strong>of</strong> Information & Learning Services (ILS).<br />
All members will be issued with a library user card. This must be produced each time<br />
you borrow material.<br />
Your card is for your sole use and must not be lent to another person under any<br />
circumstances.<br />
You are responsible for informing ILS <strong>of</strong> any relevant change in your personal<br />
circumstances, such as a new address.<br />
Borrowing Rights & use <strong>of</strong> equipment<br />
You are responsible for the safe return <strong>of</strong> any items borrowed using your card. Lost or<br />
damaged items will be charged at the full replacement cost.<br />
Fines are charged for the late return <strong>of</strong> material, and accrual <strong>of</strong> fines may result in the<br />
temporary suspension <strong>of</strong> borrowing rights until the debt has been cleared.<br />
Copyright & Data Protection<br />
Conduct<br />
All users are expected to take due care to ensure that any copying they do, both in<br />
electronic and print formats, complies with relevant copyright legislation.<br />
Please show consideration to other users <strong>of</strong> ILS facilities. This includes no eating,<br />
drinking, or use <strong>of</strong> mobile phones outside <strong>of</strong> specifically-designated areas; and<br />
keeping noise levels to a minimum outside the designated group working areas.<br />
Deliberate damage to any equipment or materials such as defacement or the tearing<br />
out <strong>of</strong> pages from books will result in the suspension <strong>of</strong> privileges.<br />
Smoking is prohibited in all ILS buildings, rooms and facilities.<br />
Contravention <strong>of</strong> these terms and conditions may in certain instances constitute a<br />
breach <strong>of</strong> criminal or civil law that could lead to prosecution.<br />
The Director <strong>of</strong> Information & Learning Services shall at all times have authority to<br />
exclude or suspend from membership any user who infringes the published<br />
regulations.<br />
