The following table compares the total cost of the Steady State budget of $750k and $1.00M against the Do
Nothing and $1.00M budget in terms of equity removal and the cost to return the system to its original state.
By comparing the current network PCI against the Fix All budget results, it can be established that
approximately $1.1M is required to replace each drop in the network average PCI resulting from deferred
maintenance. By examining the 5 year PCI for the Do Nothing, $750k and $1.0M budget options, it may be
established that $9.2M, $4.7M and $2.7M of equity are removed from the system translating to $2.9M,
$2.2M, and $1.5M respectively, in additional costs to the City.
