deranged experiments, creates <strong>the</strong> Slough<br />
<strong>of</strong> Despair.<br />
BC 276 The Black Seer dies, and <strong>the</strong> Black<br />
Opal Eye is entombed with her.<br />
BC 195-147 Traladaran prince (Ban)<br />
Ithron unifies <strong>the</strong> Traladaran clans and<br />
takes <strong>the</strong> title <strong>of</strong> King <strong>of</strong> Traladara. His<br />
kindgom does not survive him for long.<br />
BC 4 The Seer <strong>of</strong> Traldar, Elyas recovers<br />
<strong>the</strong> Black Opal Eye from <strong>the</strong> tomb <strong>of</strong><br />
Trinkla <strong>the</strong> Black Seer.<br />
AC 301-356 Bogdan Ivanovich, Ban <strong>of</strong><br />
Marilenev, claims <strong>the</strong> title <strong>of</strong> King <strong>of</strong><br />
Traladara. He manages to bring under his<br />
heel several clans, but <strong>the</strong> kingdom<br />
dissolves at Ivanovich's death.<br />
AC 327 Anton Ivanovich, younger son <strong>of</strong><br />
King Bogdan, leads an expedition into <strong>the</strong><br />
<strong>Cruth</strong> <strong>Lowlands</strong>. He conquers Achelos,<br />
establishing a Banate <strong>the</strong>re. The<br />
Ivanoviches bring <strong>the</strong> Marilenev culture<br />
with <strong>the</strong>m, creating some tension with <strong>the</strong><br />
locals.<br />
AC 364 Following <strong>the</strong> death <strong>of</strong> King<br />
Bogdan and Ban Anton, <strong>the</strong> <strong>Cruth</strong> natives<br />
align with <strong>the</strong> Hojah clan <strong>of</strong> Halag. Vlad<br />
Artho creates <strong>the</strong> dominion <strong>of</strong> Vidlice,<br />
taking <strong>the</strong> title <strong>of</strong> Zhupa. The Ivanoviches<br />
remain in control <strong>of</strong> Achelos.<br />
The Traladaran Wars<br />
AC 400 Thyatian missionary clerics reach<br />
Marilenev and o<strong>the</strong>r major towns in<br />
Traladara. Formalization <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Song <strong>of</strong><br />
Halav in a written text ensues.<br />
AC 410 Merchants from New Alphatia<br />
bring lycanthropy and vampirism to<br />
Traladara. At <strong>the</strong> same time, <strong>the</strong><br />
descendants <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Taymoran Nosferatu<br />
resurface. Halag, at this time, is one <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />
major trade partners <strong>of</strong> New Alphatia, and<br />
suffers from epidemics <strong>of</strong> both lycanthropy<br />
and vampirism. The Knights <strong>of</strong> Halav are<br />
created to counter <strong>the</strong>se threats.<br />
AC 412-417 First Traladaran War against<br />
<strong>the</strong> Kingdom <strong>of</strong> Darokin. A modernization<br />
effort leads to adoption <strong>of</strong> Thyatian<br />
customs across most <strong>of</strong> Traladara, but <strong>the</strong><br />
western Traladaran nobles, including those<br />
<strong>of</strong> Halag, Achelos and Vidlice, resist such<br />
changes.<br />
AC 444-450 Religious conflicts within <strong>the</strong><br />
Church <strong>of</strong> Traladara and political<br />
manipulation by <strong>the</strong> Harbortown envoys<br />
lead to <strong>the</strong> Second Traladaran War, which<br />
pits Marilenev against Halag. The western<br />
clans, having lost <strong>the</strong>ir main trade partner,<br />
New Alphatia, to <strong>the</strong> Silver Purge, are<br />
soundly defeated at <strong>the</strong> Battle <strong>of</strong> Svoga.<br />
The Hojah clan and many <strong>of</strong> its allies leave<br />
Traladara to resettle in <strong>the</strong> far west. The<br />
Vargos family takes over <strong>the</strong> title <strong>of</strong> Ban <strong>of</strong><br />
Halag.<br />
As a result <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> change in power balance<br />
in western Traladara, <strong>the</strong> Dukes <strong>of</strong> Achelos<br />
are once more on <strong>the</strong> rise, toge<strong>the</strong>r with<br />
newer families such as those <strong>of</strong> Koriszegy.<br />
The Artho are displaced from Vidlice, which<br />
is all but destroyed, and resettle in Halag.<br />
AC 474-493 Duke Demara <strong>of</strong> Halavos is<br />
acknowledged as King <strong>of</strong> Traladara by <strong>the</strong><br />
nor<strong>the</strong>rn barons, leading to <strong>the</strong> Third and<br />
Fourth Traladaran War. Once more, <strong>the</strong><br />
league <strong>of</strong> sou<strong>the</strong>rn lords emerges<br />
victorious, weakening Halavos and Halag<br />
and streng<strong>the</strong>ning Marilenev.<br />
Achelos remains neutral during <strong>the</strong> Third<br />
war, but joins <strong>the</strong> Traladaran League in<br />
<strong>the</strong> Fourth Traladaran War.<br />
The Traladaran League<br />
AC 500-600 Age <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Traladaran<br />
League: <strong>the</strong> creation <strong>of</strong> a formal alliance <strong>of</strong><br />
<strong>the</strong> Traladaran nobles marks an age <strong>of</strong><br />
peace in Traladara, marred only by <strong>the</strong><br />
return <strong>of</strong> lycanthropy and vampirism in <strong>the</strong><br />
more isolated regions.<br />
