illness, and<br />
Be <strong>Food</strong> Safe!<br />
Wash your hands with warm water and soap<br />
for 20 seconds and wash surfaces often<br />
with hot, soapy water.<br />
CLEAN<br />
Keep raw meat, poultry, and seafood away<br />
from ready-to-eat food, fruits, and vegetables.<br />
SEPARATE<br />
Cook food to safe internal temperatures. Use<br />
a food thermometer to check the internal temperature.<br />

visit FSIS’ Web site, at www.fsis.usda.gov.<br />
COOK<br />
Place leftovers in the refrigerator, at 40 ºF<br />
(4.4 ºC) or below, within 2 hours; 1 hour if<br />
temperatures are above 90 ºF (32.2 ºC).<br />
