Overall, the potential impacts from habitat loss, fragmentation and alteration can be considered
to be negative; however, the magnitude of these impacts can be considered low because of the
relatively small areas being impacted and because no threatened or endangered avian species
will be directly affected.
Comparison of effects
A comparison of both road options indicates that the potential effects of each option are fairly
similar in terms of the magnitude, affected values, duration and reversibility. Option A covers a
larger geographic extent, but the difference in overall total habitat affected is negligible.
