Breed Breezes to a 4-Stroke Win
Hershey, PA –The International Junior Golf Tour (IJGT) returned to The Hershey Country Club, to host their
60 th tour event of the 2007-2008 season. The “sweetest place on earth” set a wonderful scene for the IJGT’s
first tour event in May; not to mention the scent of Hershey chocolate was prevalent amongst the spring air.
Nicholas Reach of Moscow, PA was crowned the champion after finishing at 13-over-par for the weekend.
Tyler Wingo of Fairfax, VA won the Boys 13-15 Division with a 151 tournament total. Frank Szucs of
Brookside, NJ was the champion of the Boys 12 & Under Division, while Liz Breed of Waynesboro, PA took
home the title in the Girls 19 & Under Division.
Reach began the tournament with an up-and-down round of 8-over-par 79 on Saturday, but followed it up with
a solid 5-over-par 76 during the final-round. Runner-up at the IJGT event at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort the
previous week, Reach bounced back from a 6-stroke-deficit. He proceeded to add a birdie on No. 9 en route to
the tournament’s low final-round. Joseph Gunerman of Yardley, PA posted rounds of 76, 80 respectively to
clinch second place honors by one stroke. Brandon Dalinka of Newtown, PA, Matthew Plummer of
Mechanicsburg, PA and Robert Blanken of Downingtown, PA tied for third place in the Boys 16-19 Division
with weekend totals of 157.
In the Boys 13-15 Division, Wingo was steady throughout, recording an opening round 76 followed by a 4-
over-par 75. This was Wingo’s first victory on the IJGT this season, finishing with a two-stroke advantage.
Zachary Herr of New Hope, PA and Kurtis Straw of Johnstown, PA finished tied in second place after shooting
11-over-par 153 tournament totals.
The Boys 12 & Under Division was won by six strokes as Szucs shot two respectable rounds of 78 and a 5
stroke improved final-round, 2-over-par 73. Robert Seebold of Danville, PA finished in second after he
recorded a 76 in the final round. Rounding out the top three by one stroke was Andrew Bieber of Danville, PA
with a 158 two-day total.
Breed bettered her competitors by four strokes for the title at Hershey Country Club after shooting rounds of 78
and 77 respectively. Samantha Formeck of Northern Cambria, PA was the runner-up in the Girls 19 & Under
Division with a 159 for the tournament. Third place went to Emily Riddle of St. Marys, PA after posting a 161
for the two-day event.

The IJGT was founded in 1995 for junior golfers ages 11-19. Its purpose is to provide aspiring collegiate
players the opportunity to compete in a series of events against the highest quality U.S. and international
competition.
This year’s schedule features almost 70 events at some of the finest courses in the U. S. as well as tournaments
in Canada and Scotland.
Nearly 2000 junior golfers compete on the IJGT representing 45 states and over 30 countries. These young men
and women will have the opportunity to participate in the national junior ranking system sponsored by
Golfweek.
