MOTION 2: Art 5.1 ,5.2 and 6.2 of UIPM Rules on Internal Organisation: Reason: By assigning the right to vote to the Chairperson of the UIPM Medical Committee, the UIPM would like to emphasize the importance of medical issues for the sports of Modern Pentathlon and Biathle.“ Art 5.2 shall read: 5.2 Within the framework defined by Art 8 par 2 of the Statutes of the UIPM the Executive Board actually is composed of: a) The UIPM President b) Four UIPM Vice Presidents c) The Presidents of the Continental Confederations (Regional Vice Presidents) d) The Treasurer e) The Member for Sport f) The Member for Marketing g) The Member for Media h) The Member for Development i) The Chairperson of the Athletes’ Committee j) The Chairperson of the Medical Committee k) The non-voting Secretary General k)The non-voting Chairperson of the Medical Committee. B) Motions on Amendments of the UIPM Competition Rules MOTION 3: Rule 1.21.Criteria for the Ranking Reason: It is an ORIS requirement, important for the media, as a sport like Marathon Modern Pentathlon deserves to have World Records. 1.21.4. Modern Pentathlon World Records • Fencing – The record amount of victories and defeats AND the Pentathlon Points. . • Swimming – The fastest time AND the Pentathlon Points. A different record will be kept for 25m and 50m pool. • Riding – No data. • Combined Event – The fastest time on any course AND the Pentathlon points. • Combined Event Shooting – The fastest time for one session of five shots. Also for the fastest time for the three shooting sessions (15 Shots). • Combined Event Running – The fastest running time on any course. • Overall Points – The most Pentathlon points overall in a competition. MOTION 4: Rule B.5.21 Laser System Reason: This practice shall assure that all qualification competitions for the London Olympic Games 2012 will use the laser system and, thus, fair and equal conditions will be provided for all athletes. At the same time it will be given the chance for the member federations and their clubs to continue official UIPM competitions of category C and national competitions by using airpistol shooting until they can afford to move to an all embracing use of the laser system." B.5.21 Laser system i)The combined event may take place using the laser system. The laser system shall be used at all official UIPM competitions of category A and category B. ii)The laser pistol – only single shot pistols are allowed.
