1.7 Types of Competition<br />

1.7.1 <strong>UIPM</strong> Category “A” Competitions:<br />

Reason: To fall in line with the <strong>UIPM</strong>’s Marketing Strategy in the last two years<br />

iii)World Cup Circuit Series<br />

Each year 4 – 6 World Cup competitions and a World Cup Final are organised over a period of 4 – 8<br />

months and the whole series is called the World Cup Circuit Series. These competitions are carried<br />

out on different continents if possible. Every NF may organise only one World Cup competition for<br />

men and one for women each year, in addition to the World Cup Final.<br />

1.22.Obligations of Pentathletes, Officials, NFs and Their Members and Members of LOCs<br />

1.22.2 Clothing<br />

Pentathletes must wear clothing and equipment as specified in the Rules for each event. Start numbers must be<br />

visibly worn in the Combined event according to the Rules for Combined Event and in the other events as far as<br />

provided by the LOC. Officials must be dressed properly, at a minimum by the National Federation’s tracksuit.<br />

The members of a team in the Relay must be dressed similarly with regard to form the shape and colour of the<br />

clothes of clothing, except the shape of the swimwear in Swimming . No pentathlete is allowed to compete with<br />

dirty clothing or with an identical mark, flag, emblem, country or city name that belongs to another NF.<br />

Pentathletes or officials who are dressed incorrectly undergo a penalty or disciplinary measure. In Fencing and<br />

Riding no jewellery, or any visible body piercing are permitted. Athletes must remove or cover these in a safe<br />

way. In Fencing, hair must be secured in a way, so as not to cover the name printed on the Fencing jacket<br />

4.3 Inspection of course and horses<br />

iii) This mark remains on the horse throughout the event all riding events at any <strong>UIPM</strong> Competition.<br />
