MOTION 7:<br />
Rule 1.21.2 Levels of <strong>UIPM</strong> competitions<br />
Reason: To make the PWR position clearer when athletes have equal points.<br />
Tie-Breaker Applied to PWR<br />
The <strong>UIPM</strong> publisheds PWR list at the end of each international competition will normally only break ties of PWR<br />
points for the first 64 positions; however, upon specific request by a National Federation, for valid reason, the<br />
<strong>UIPM</strong> shall apply the tie-breaker rule for any position held by an pentathlete of that National Federation and<br />
report the results to that National Federation. the updated PWR at the end of each month.<br />
- In the PWR, if two or more pentathletes have accumulated an equal amount of PWR points, the pentathlete<br />
who is placed ahead higher is the one who collected more PWR points in the most recent World<br />
Championships Finals<br />
- If the amount of PWR points still remains equal, the pentathlete who is placed ahead higher<br />
is the one who collected more PWR points in the most recent World Championship<br />
qualification round. Semifinals.<br />
- If the amount of PWR still remains equal (the concerned athletes didn’t participate in the last WCh), the<br />
pentathlete who is placed ahead higher is the one that participated in the highest number of competitions<br />
included in the current ranking PWR.<br />
- If the amount of PWR still remains equal, the pentathlete placed higher is the one with the best result in the<br />
last competition included in the current PWR.<br />
