CAZAUBON’S IMPRESSIVE FINAL ROUND LEADS TO VICTORY
Sealy Finishes Strong For Win
Howey-In-The-Hills, FL – This weekend, the International Junior Golf Tour (IJGT) traveled to Mission Inn
Resort, home of Florida’s Junior Invitational Championship since 1972. The Las Colinas Course played host to
the event, testing players shot making ability in every category. Once again, the sunshine state delivered
beautiful weather and excellent scoring conditions throughout the weekend.
In the Boys 16-19 Division, Rodolfo Cazaubon of Tampico, Mexico dominated the
final-round to take home the championship. Cazaubon entered Sunday’s round
deadlocked in a three way tie at one-under-par 71 and several other players within
striking distance. Not to be denied, Cazaubon bettered his opening round by carding an
impressive 68, which included seven birdies on the day. Second place honors were
taken by Robert De Biase of Lara, Venezuela with back-to-back rounds of 71. Finishing
in third was Sebastian Fernandez of Guatemala, Guatemala with a tournament total of
145.
Hank Haney International Junior Golf Academy (HHIJGA) Student Caulen Coe of Gulf Stream, FL claimed his
first victory in the Boys 13-15 Division this week. Coe’s opening round of 72 was
enough to catapult himself up the leader board and take early advantage. Coe played
steady golf in the final round to finish with a tournament total of 152 and walk away the
champion. Coe had this to say about his success:
“It was great to break into the winners circle. I was able to string together some birdies in
the first round to get off to a great start.”
Matt DeGiorgio of Mansfield, MA posted rounds of 76 and 80 to take second place
honors. In third was Ian Serko of Old Brookville, NY with a tournament total of 160.
The Boys 12 & Under Division ended in dramatic fashion with a playoff between JJ
Qualkenbush of La Quinta, CA and Zachary Hoskins of Orlando, FL. Qualkenbush
looked to be the early favorite following his impressive opening round of 72, taking an
four-stroke lead over fellow competitors Hoskins and Timothy Colanta of Monroe
Township, NJ. Hoskins was able to close the early deficit, carding a final round of 76 to
force extra holes with Qualkenbush. Calm, cool and collected, Hoskins drained a clutch
20 foot par putt on the first playoff hole for the victory. Second place honors went to
Qualkenbush who will remain atop the Boys 12 & Under Division merit point standings.
Claiming third was Colanta with a tournament total of 158.

In the Girls 19 & Under Division, Monifa Sealy of Glencoe, Trinidad and Tobago walked away the champion
after an excellent showing on Sunday. Finding herself a mere stoke out of the lead
entering the final round, Sealy catapulted up the leader board by posting a bogey free
round of 68 to claim first place. Following her victory, Sealy had this to say:
“Without the support of my family and coaches this win would not be possible. They
have really helped me prepare to win.”
Xin Wang of Guangzhou, China finished second after playing consistently and carding
rounds of 73 and 71. Third place honors went to Christina Ocampo of Delray Beach, FL with a tournament total
of 145.
As players entered Sunday’s final round, many were hoping to leave with the coveted IJGT Low Final Round
