For the maiden issue of CEMEX+ME, CEMEX Philippines*
("CEMEX") wanted to share with you nothing but New… Because
what is New is always welcome—it’s a breath of fresh air, the
birth of hope, the beginning of a better future. Anything New is
exciting. It’s interesting. It’s cool. And this is precisely how we
envision this magazine to be: fresh, exciting…Always New!
Here we’ve shared with you the birth
of new products: CEMEX Marine, the best
cement for foundations; and the very new
CEMEX Palitada King, masonry cement
that will surely make your mason feel like a
king! We also recently launched new processes
and services: CEMEXPRESS aims to
make ordering and paying more convenient
for our customers through CEMEXNet (an
Internet-based service), CEMEXText (which
uses the ever-present mobile phone), and the
CEMEX Service Center (which allows customers
to order thru the telephone).
And there’s more! In every issue, we’ll
be featuring our partners in the industry—
valued customers and suppliers who will
share with us new ideas that we can all learn
from. We’ll also go “trendspotting” and see
what’s new and what’s hot in related industries.
We’ll feature architects, interior designers,
and engineers who will give us their
forecasts in design, architecture, and technology.
For this issue, renowned architect and
interior designer, Jonathan Matti, gave us his
fearless forecast on design trends for late
