SeaMach Reverse Cycle Air Conditioners
Instructions for the Manual Thermostat for use with SeaMach models SPM or
SCM.
Cooling Cycle
1. Set the compressor time delay to 3 minutes
2. Adjust the cooling temperature set point on the thermostat higher than the cabin temperature.
3. Slowly lower the thermostat’s cooling set point until the set point is below the cabin temperature.
The blower, compressor and pump should be operating.
4. Close all doors and hatches.
5. Allow the unit to operate 10 minutes.
6. After 10 minutes, there should be a 15°F (8°C) to 20°F (11°C) difference in the supply and return air
temperatures.
Heating Cycle
Note: Do not turn unit “OFF” and then immediately back “ON”. Wait three minutes to
allow refrigerant pressures to equalize.
1. Adjust the heating temperature set point on the display module or the thermostat higher than the
cabin’s temperature.
2. Slowly raise the thermostat’s heating set point until the set point is above the cabin temperature. The
blower, compressor and pump should be operating.
3. Close all doors and hatches.
4. Allow the unit to operate 5 minutes.
5. After 5 minutes there should be a 15°F (8°C) to 25°F (11°C) difference in the supply and return air
temperature.
