4 simple steps to receiving your Partial Foot

First Appointment
STEP 1 Choosing your colour
Choose from Dorset Orthopaedic’s extensive range of 66 real-life
colours, developed from an array of patients worldwide.
STEP 2 Casting your residual limb
Using plaster bandage, your clinician will cast your residual limb in
the optimum position to maximise comfort and functionality.

STEP 3 Casting your sound side
A thick paste ‘alginate’ is poured around your foot, which sets
to form a soft rubber mould. A defined plaster copy of your
sound side is then made from the mould to create an invaluable
sculpting reference.

Second Appointment
STEP 4 Fitting and delivery
During your second appointment your clinician will fit
and assess your partial foot. Once you’re happy and any
amendments have been made, you’re ready to wear your
new foot home and enjoy your life without limits.
