Partial Foot Designs
Both designs are available for all ages. The most appropriate partial foot is
advised in consultation with your clinician and is usually determined by the level
of your partial foot amputation.
Partial Foot
The ‘Slipper Style’ design, with
trim lines around the ankles is
typically recommended for mid
metatarsal and further distal
amputation levels.
Gel pads &
carbon fibre
available in all
designs as required
SAFoot
The ‘Boot Style’ design has discreet integrated
velcro straps for easy entry and a snug fit.
Providing additional support, the SAFoot is
typically recommended for mid metatarsal
and further proximal amputation levels.*
Choose your level of definition
Toe Filler Style
The ‘toe filler’ made from a
single skin tone is our entry
level product, perfect for
those seeking functionality
and comfort.
‘1D10’ Style
The ‘1D10’ style offers a
single colour foot with
typical proportions for your
foot length, including basic
toe and nail shapes.
All levels of definition are available for
the Partial Foot & SAFoot designs
Custom Toe Style
The ‘custom toe’ style
provides a personalised
cosmetic solution, sculpted
from one skin tone to mirror
the volume, skin and nail
characteristics of your sound
side or a foot of your choice.
This style is also available in
Tri and Multi-Colour ranges.
Ava Bainbridge, 4 year old partial foot wearer
She is thrilled
she can wear normal
shoes again
When Ava Bainbridge lost her
toes and parts of both feet to
meningitis she had barely learnt
how to walk. Thanks to a unique
pair of silicone partial feet made
by Dorset Orthopaedic Ava is
walking again. Her mum said,
“I was amazed when she put
them on for the first time and
took her first steps.”
Now I can walk freely without worrying how far
At the age of 20 Carole Collins had surgery to remove parts of her feet, as a
result of a malformation from birth. Dorset Orthopaedic recommended Carole
trial a pair of SAFoot to aid her comfort and mobility. The boot-style prostheses
come up the leg and improve stability and propulsion during walking, especially
on uneven ground – perfect for Carole as a keen dog-walker. Carole immediately
saw an improvement and has since also bought some slipper style partial feet,
which she prefers for driving and wearing around the house. Carol commented
“the combination of the two designs of feet mean I am always comfortable and
able to do exactly what I want.”
4 simple steps to receiving your Partial Foot
We understand that finding the right solution for you is a big step. With expert clinicians at Dorset Orthopaedic
and recommended clinical partners worldwide, we’re here to guide you through each stage, wherever you are.
First Appointment
STEP 1 Choosing your colour
Choose from Dorset Orthopaedic’s extensive range of 66 real-life
colours, developed from an array of patients worldwide.
STEP 2 Casting your residual limb
Using plaster bandage, your clinician will cast your residual limb in
the optimum position to maximise comfort and functionality.
1
STEP 3 Casting your sound side
A thick paste ‘alginate’ is poured around your foot, which sets
to form a soft rubber mould. A defined plaster copy of your
sound side is then made from the mould to create an invaluable
sculpting reference.
3
2
Second Appointment
STEP 4 Fitting and delivery
During your second appointment your clinician will fit
and assess your partial foot. Once you’re happy and any
amendments have been made, you’re ready to wear your
new foot home and enjoy your life without limits.
