Sarah Garfield Berry regards volunteering and community
leadership as responsibilities in life no less than work and family.
A managing director for investments at Wells Fargo Advisors
in Worcester, Sarah has also been president of Higgins Armory
Museum, the Worcester Art Museum and the Foundation. She
and her husband Allen consider their gift to endow a discretionary
fund a smart way to invest in their community.
“The Foundation brings many players to the table, including grant
applicants, board volunteers and committee members. We all learn
about our region and its real needs conversing with others whose
paths might not otherwise cross.
“The Garfield Berry Fund allows the Foundation to use its
knowledge and discretionary grant dollars where they matter
most. The Foundation efficiently manages and distributes funds.
With its strength and size, it supports programs and needs
determined through almost 40 years of service to the region.”
The Garfield Berry Fund allows the Foundation
to use its knowledge and discretionary grant
dollars where they matter most.
