Full bodied and distinctive, 6X remains one of the 

South's most famous beers. The beer is mid-brown in 

colour, malty and fruity with balancing hop character. 

TIMOTHY TAYLOR 

LANDLORD • 4.3% 

A classic strong plae ale, Landlord has won more 

awards nationally than any other beer. This includes 

three times as Champion at the Brewers International 

Exhibition. 

TETLEY 

CASK BITTER • 3.8% 

A full-bodied roasted malt flavour with just a hint 

of caramel. Tetley’s Cask also has a smooth hop 

character and bitterness derived from English hops. 

WYCHWOOD 

HOBGOBLIN • 4.5% 

A blend of smooth rich flavours 

from chocolate and crystal malts.

CROP CIRCLE • 4.2% 

A very clean, flaxen-coloured beer with wonderful 

thirst-quenching properties. The subtle blend of 

aroma and bittering hops give a crispness on the 

tongue which is delicately fruity, giving way to some 

dryness. The inclusion of flaked maize in the grist 

subtlely hints at crisp corn flavours.. 

SUMMER LIGHTNING • 5.0% 

A trendsetter in the brewing industry; the original 

Summer ale brewed all year round. An extremely 

pleasant bitter, straw coloured beer with a terrific fresh, 

hoppy aroma. This, coupled with an intense bitterness, 

leads to an excellent long, dry finish.

Distinctive caramel notes with hints of nuts 

and plum to make it an authentic Black & Tan

Tribute is a magnificent example of a bronze coloured 

English bitter, with a rich aroma of biscuity malt and tart 

citrus fruit from the Willamette hops. Juicy malt, hop 

resins and tangy fruit coat the tongue, while the finish 

is long and lingering, with a fine balance between malt, 

hops and fruit, finally becoming dry and bitter.

Harvest Pale is brewed with a gently-kilned malt, 

and an during the brewing process gives this 3.8% 

alc pale beer exceptionalaromatic blend of American 

hops added poise. Its distinct hop flavour leads to 

a crisp finish. Harvest Pale has firmly established 

itself as Castle Rock’s Flagship Beer. SIBA National 

PRESERVATION • 4.4% 

Brewed to the traditional East Midlands style. 

Mid-brown / reddish easy drinking full flavoured

The yeast strain used for the brewing of this 

American style pale ale is specially imported from 

the USA, along with Cascade, Centennial and 

Chinook hops. The low colour Maris Otter malt 

provides a perfect light colour and dryness to complement 

the crisp taste and full aroma of the hops. 

SERIOUSLY FULL OF HOPS 

HOPHEAD • 3.8% 

An extremely clean-drinking pale golden ale with 

a strong floral aroma and elderflower notes from 

the Cascade hops. This beer is full-bodied and 

full-flavoured yet gentle enough to make it a 

favourite session beer.

ALTON'S PRIDE • 3.8% 

A traditional amber bitter brewed using water 

from the Hampshire chalk hills. Full and clean 

tasting, initially malty then citrus fruit and resinous 

hop build to a quenching bitter finish. 

MOONDANCE • 4.2% 

One of our original recipes, amber coloured best 

bitter with copious amounts of US Cascade hops. 

Wonderfully aromatic floral nose balanced by 

a gentle bitterness with a hint of sweetness. 

No wonder this beer has won the most awards 

of all the beers in our range. 

GREENE KING 

IPA • 3.6% 

Greene King IPA is a perfectly balanced ale, characterised 

by its fresh, hoppy taste and clean, bitter finish. 

This hoppy taste and aroma come from two varieties 

of English hops – Challenger and First Gold – which 

are combined with pale and crystal malts. A great beer 

to enjoy with curry, Mexican and other spicy food, 

or simply on its own. 

MORLANDS ORIGINAL • 4.0% 

Has a fresh floral hop aroma from golding hops 

with a strong character. 

RUDDLES COUNTY • 4.3% 

Originally from England's smallest county – 

Rutland – Ruddles County is an English ale with 

a distinctive flavour of dark toffee and caramel 

combined with a crisp bitterness derived from using 

rare Bramling Cross hops

Easy Rider is a subtle, easy drinking premium strength 

pale ale. The initial crisp bitterness gently gives way to 

a lingering fruity aftertaste. Easy Rider is brewed using 

the finest malted English barley, together with hand 

picked hops and water drawn from the Pennines. 

PALE RIDER • 5.2% 

A legend of a beer, Champion Beer of Britain 2004, 

much imitated never bettered! A pale ale brewed 

with the finest British maris otter malt and a blend 

of the best hops the USA has to offer. A delightful 

moreish beer where a berry fruit and citrus aroma 

mingles with juicy malt tones. Delicate and sweet 

on a palate complementing the resounding concerto 

of flavours.

A superb golden coloured ale, brewed with English 

pale ale malt & using only the finest english aromatic 

hops. a full flavoured beer with a delicate hop

YORKSHIRE GOLD • 4.0% 

Yorkshire Gold 4.0% ABV. A light hoppy bitter. 

Select Chinook hops give citrus notes to this. 

LYMESTONE 

EINSTEIN • 5.0% 

This lingering combination of pale maris otter malts 

and choice german hops may make you pause for 

thought.

Our award-winning bitter uses a carefully balanced

The recipe for Country's distinct fruity taste is a 

testament to this when we carefully mix the Progress, 

Brambling Cross and English Fuggle hops. The 

addition of crystal malt to the pale ale malt creates a

in the UK, Yankee is a modern classic. Light and

projected against a back drop of soft Yorkshire water 

and golden promise pale malt.

Brewed to a traditional recipe & has been described 

as having a flavour not commonly available these 

days. full bodied and warming. rich in palate, spicy

ORACLE • 4.0% 

The intention of the hop character is to be 

pronounced but not all encompassing, dry but 

not overtly bitter and a tiny hint of sweetness to 

add body. Its one of the most expensive of the 

Salopian beers to brew as it relies heavily on 

expensive hops from the US 

SHROPSHIRE GOLD • 3.8% 

Golden, with a flora aroma and a full hoppy 

flavour that is balanced by a crisp dry maltiness

DOOM BAR • 4.0% 

“The aroma of Doom Bar combines an 

accomplished balance of spicy resinous hop, 

inviting sweet malt and delicate roasted notes.

A golden beer brewed using local staffordshire

of english challenger, wgv and cascade hops to give

Our brewing story goes back to 1996 

when Patrick Morton and his Father 

Hugh decided to pursue their 

mutual love of fine beer and put 

their faith and money into creating 

their very own brewery.

enough to get in

floor of the revival of craft 

beer, and canny enough to 

grow continually throughout 

our existence. 

We have established Moonshine 

as a very popular local 

beer and all of our regular 

and special beers have 

a following somewhere - 

sometimes in the most 

unusual places! 

We have one pub of our 

own, The Rising Sun in 

Nether Green, Sheffield 

where you can always try 

one (or more!) of at least six 

of our beers that are always 

on show alongside up to 

seven beers from other small 

breweries. Nearly all of these 

are sourced by swapping 

with like-minded brewers, 

proving that we like to share 

our love for all things 

beer related.

Dark Island is an iconic beer: 

a standard-bearer for 

traditional Scottish ales. 

In cask, this beer has twice 

won CAMRA’s Champion 

Beer of Scotland. 

Norman Sinclair, graduate of RGIT, 

is an acclaimed Highland 

restaurateur who more recently 

created a company which is the 

largest independent brewing 

operation in Scotland. 

The breweries have had a string of awards

version of this beer was the 

first Scottish beer to win the 

BIIA World Cask Beer

The tranquil Orkney 

Islands, with their 

fertile farming lands

is housed in the former 

schoolhouse in Quoyloo 1 

mile from Skara Brae in the

The Cairngorm Brewery Company, 

established in 2001, is situated in the 

village of Aviemore within the 

Cairngorms National Park in the 

Highlands of Scotland. 

Light golden in colour,

Britain 2004, 2005 and 2006 

and UK Champion Best 

Bitter in 2008. 

Nessie’s Monster Mash 

received Best Bitter Bronze 

medal at the CAMRA Great 

British Beer Festival in 2008

A mahogany coloured ale 

with medium to light body.

A refreshing blonde beer with 

a hoppy profile and the finish 

of lemon. Judiciously hopped 

with Hersbrucker and Challenger 

and late hopped with 

Styrian Golding. 

Harviestoun Brewery was founded 

in 1983. From humble beginnings in 

Dollar it has grown into a 60-barrel, 

purpose-built brewery that nestles 

at the foot of the Ochil Hills in the 

heart of Clackmannanshire.

A crisp cask-conditioned lager 

beer with the fresh taste of 

grapefruit. Fermented at very 

low temperature with a lager 

yeast and delicately hopped 

with Hersbrucker. 

Harviestoun’s head 

brewer, Stuart, loves 

hops. He always 

has, and his team of young 

brewers are equally 

enthusiastic. Together they 

strive to create beers with 

perfectly balanced hop 

combinations to give them 

depth and complexity. 

Their flagship beers are 

Bitter & Twisted (World’s 

Best Ale 2007) and Schiehallion 

(World’s Best Pilsner 

2008). Bitter & Twisted is a 

fruity blonde beer with a dry 

bitterness and zingy zestiness. 

Schiehallion is their 

elegant ‘craft lager’ with a 

crisp hop profile and a clean 

finish. 

In 2008 they took another of 

their classic brews, Old 

Engine Oil (Gold Award, 

SIBA 2011), and started 

maturing it in Highland 

Park whisky casks to create 

the roasty, toasty, caramel 

beast that is Ola Dubh. 

Underpinning all their beers 

is quality ingredients and 

provenance; from the 

carefully selected hop flowers 

through to the Scottish 

malts and local water.

In 1981 Woodforde’s Norfolk Ales 

produced the first commercial brew 

of Wherry Bitter at their original 

brewery in Drayton, near Norwich. 

In 1996, just fifteen years later, 

Wherry Bitter was awarded the 

ultimate prize in the brewing world 

- it became CAMRA Supreme 

Champion Beer of Britain. 

Smooth, rich and rounded ‘Old 

Ale’ with a velvety texture 

and hints of chocolate, treacle 

and liquorice 

Within a relatively 

short time Woodforde’s 

Norfolk 

Ales has become a by-word 

for consistency and excellence 

among brewers of cask 

conditioned ale and their 

customers. Woodforde’s has 

grown from tiny beginnings 

on the industrial estate at 

Drayton, to become one of 

the largest and most respected 

of the wave of new 

cask ale brewers who started 

up in the early 1980’s. It was 

a time when beer drinkers 

finally began to rebel against 

the relentless blandness 

of the larger brewers’ 

products, and pioneers 

turned first to home brewing 

and then to commercial 

production of their lovingly 

created recipes.
