Logger Ethernet Communication Requirements<br />
• HOBO U10 and U12 Loggers: Each logger requires its own USB port on<br />
the computer or can connect remotely through an Ethernet network using<br />
a Keyspan USB Server (part# SERVER-US-4). Keyspan server connection<br />
limit is 12 remote USB ports at a time. Each logger requires a USB cable<br />
(CABLE-USBMB).<br />
• HOBO U9 and U11 Loggers: Same requirements as above, but alarms<br />
are not supported for Event or State inputs.<br />
• HOBO Energy Logger Pro and Weather/Micro Station Loggers:<br />
Each logger requires its own serial port on the computer or can connect<br />
remotely through a Ethernet network using a Tibbo Serial-Ethernet<br />
Server (part #SERVER-DS202). Each logger requires its own Tibbo<br />
Server and serial interface cable (part #CABLE-PC-3.5).<br />
Notification and Storage Requirements<br />
To receive alarm notifications via cell phone, pager or e-mail, you will need<br />
a continuous Internet connection with e-mail or SMTP service to send<br />
notifications, and one or more of the following:<br />
• Text-message-enabled cell phone (to receive cell phone notifications)<br />
• Alphanumeric pager (to receive pager notifications)<br />
• E-mail account (to receive e-mail notifications)<br />
• Local storage or FTP site (to store readout data)<br />
