IX.<br />
Gandhiji had published an article on 'National School at Bombay'<br />
in Gujarati in the paper 'Navajivan' in its Sept. 23, 1928 issue.<br />
This is an extract from that article placed in Collected Works,<br />
Vol. XXXVII, Page 301-302.<br />
X. While discussing on the problem of untouchability and its<br />
eradication, Gandhiji had commended the role of <strong>Madhusudan</strong>.<br />
This discussion of dated Nov. 14,1932 was published in "Bombay<br />
Chronicles' in its issue of 15th Nov. 1932 under the heading<br />
'Statement on Untouchability—V (Collected Works, Vol. LI,<br />
page 428-29)<br />
XI. In the above mentioned article, Gandhiji had written<br />
<strong>Madhusudan</strong> as 'Late <strong>Madhusudan</strong>'. though he was still alive.<br />
Gandhiji came to know of his mistake from an ashram inmate<br />
(probably from Govinda Chandra Mishra of <strong>Das</strong>palla) and<br />
published this statement on November 18, 1932 in 'Bombay<br />
Chronicles' in the issue of 19th Nov. 1932. (Collected Works,<br />
Vol. LII, Page 17-18)<br />
XII. This was published in Gujarati in 'Harijan Bandhu' on 3.9.1933,<br />
under the title: 'Advice to a Harijan Worker'. It had also a<br />
subtitle: 'Training for service.' Later on it was translated and<br />
included in the Collected Works, Vol. LV, P. 395.<br />
XIII. These are excerpts from the essay 'Village Tanning and Its<br />
Possibilities' published in 'Harijan' on 7th September 1934.<br />

XIV. It's date has not been mentioned. Originally it was published<br />
in the book '<strong>Madhusudan</strong> <strong>Das</strong> as seen by Many Eyes' (P. 1)<br />
compiled by Shoilabala <strong>Das</strong>.<br />
XV. Gandhiji had visited Delanga in Puri District of Orissa and there<br />
he inaugurated the Exhibition of Khadi and Cottage Industries<br />
organised by the Gandhi Seva Sangha. The details of his journey<br />
and inaugural speech had been published in 'Harijan' on April<br />
2, 1938 ; as reported by Mahadev Desai. The extract quoted<br />
under this section is a part of the inaugural speech delivered<br />
there by Mahatma Gandhi. This report was reproduced by<br />
Tendulkar in his book 'Mahatma*, (Vol. IV P. 237.)]
