Atul Chandra Ganguli was a Professor in Ravenshaw College,<br />
Cuttack.<br />
Satish Chandra Bose was the classmate of Sri Ashutosh<br />
Mukherjee and a Barrister-at-Law. He practised at the Cuttack Bar,<br />
where he came in close contact with <strong>Madhusudan</strong>.<br />
Satindra Narayan Roy Mahasaya was lawyer at the Cuttack Bar.<br />
When <strong>Madhusudan</strong> declared his insolvency Mr. Roy was appointed<br />
by the court as the receiver of his estates.<br />
Paramanand Dutt, an advocate of Calcutta High Court, was the<br />
joint editor of Amrita Bazar Patrika.<br />
Swami Bichitrananda <strong>Das</strong>, an able lawyer, was closely associated<br />
with <strong>Madhusudan</strong> as his junior. He was also an ardent patriot<br />
and member of the Legislative Assembly.<br />
Gopabandhu Chowdhry, a freedom fighter and patriot of high<br />
order, had made immense sacrifice for the nation. He left his<br />
government job of Deputy Magistrate and immersed with whole<br />
family in the Gandhian movement. After independence, he joined<br />
in Bhoodan Movement. He was a close relative <strong>Madhusudan</strong>.<br />
Saraladevi Chaudhurani was a highly spirited and enterprising<br />
lady of Calcutta. She had deep and emotional attachment with<br />
revolutionaries of Bengal. In her memoir Jibaner Jharapatra, she<br />
has described <strong>Madhusudan</strong>'s influence on her life.<br />
Sarala Bala Mitter was a friend of Shoila Bala. She went to England<br />
along with her, being sponsored by Govt, of Bengal to have<br />
teachers' training.<br />
Maurice G. Hallet, a British Civil Servant, was the Secretary of<br />
Home Department, Government of India. Towards the end of his<br />
career, he was the Governor of Orissa. But also he was the Secretary<br />
of the Local Self-Government of which <strong>Madhusudan</strong> was the<br />
Minister.<br />
Hugh Macpherson, a Civil Servant, was closely associated with<br />
<strong>Madhusudan</strong> for a long time. For some time he was the officiating<br />
Governor of Bihar and Orissa.<br />
Courtney Terrell, was in judicial service and retired as Chief Justice.<br />
T. S. Macpherson, a civil servant who opted for judicial service,<br />
was a judge of Patna High Court. He was close to <strong>Madhusudan</strong>
