<strong>Speirs</strong> Locks, Glasgow, on the Forth and Clyde Canal is home to some of<br />
Scotland’s leading arts organisations. The Unlocked event is our way<br />
of showing you what we’re all about and getting to know you better.<br />

adventurous Grandfather and his<br />
mischievous dog Roo’s trip to the<br />
North Pole to see a polar bear.<br />

We like to talk, we like to meet people and<br />
hear their stories, so if the phone’s ringing<br />
when you pass our phonebox, pick it up.<br />
Don’t worry, there’s no script – all you have<br />
to do is listen and respond.<br />
Cut ‘n’ Colour<br />
Bring a piece of music on your ipod or a cd<br />
and tell us why you chose it. In return get a<br />
haircut by Fife based creative artist and<br />
hairdresser Alan Grieve.<br />
The Lift<br />
Take a trip in the lift which will transport<br />
you to a number of adventures throughout<br />
the day.<br />
Hip Hop Happening<br />
Woodside Hip Hop Dancers take a<br />
workshop with local young people – and<br />
anyone else who wants to have a go.<br />
Graffiti Street<br />
Urban art-graffiti style workshop for<br />
budding street artists or those who want<br />
to hone their skills.<br />
Crafty Cards<br />
Join crafters who have been learning and<br />
developing card-making skills from<br />
decoupage to embossing.<br />
Sing up, sing out<br />
Polish up your singing skills with the help of<br />
Scottish Opera’s talented music staff and<br />
Community Choir. No previous experience<br />
necessary!<br />
A Little Bit of…Northern Light<br />
One lonely little lighthouse standing firm<br />
against the storms of the North Atlantic tide.<br />

New Talent Concert<br />
Join The Orchestra of Scottish Opera and<br />
conductor Derek Clark for a concert of<br />
opera favourites with soprano Marie Claire<br />
Breen and baritone Ross McInroy.<br />
All day, open day<br />
Drop in to Scottish Opera for a guided tour,<br />
meet the teams who make the sets and<br />
props, explore the wardrobe department<br />
and try on hats, wigs, costumes and make-up.<br />
