7. Patience<br />

With one's body one learns to bear striking, beating,<br />

kicking, <strong>and</strong> being stepped on by others, as Lord<br />

Buddha taught us in the "Diamond Sutra" through his<br />

personal example.<br />

8. Voidness<br />

The practitioner meditates on his or her own body as<br />

void both inside <strong>and</strong> out; also on the body of a member<br />

of the opposite sex as empty.<br />

9. Ego<br />

The ego, master of the body, should be treated as<br />

fundamentally emptiness.<br />

10. Vajrayana<br />

When one practices Vajrayana yoga, one visualizes the<br />

body's surroundings <strong>and</strong> interior as void.<br />

11. Mantra<br />

There is a mantra of sunyata to be repeated before<br />

visualizing the voidness.<br />
