When the hermitage-vajra is visualized as the head, the<br />

other three may be taken as the limbs. The fourth size<br />

(Dharmadhatu), the bodhicitta, <strong>and</strong> the sambhogakaya<br />

(from the human body size) all co-exist <strong>and</strong> function<br />

simultaneously.<br />

Finally, if the ultimate size of the Dharmadhatu is the<br />

main source, the other three being subordinate to it, the<br />

net of Indra is visualized, forming a vast macrocosm of<br />

the Buddha-world. The functions are: one as many,<br />

many as one; unity <strong>and</strong> separation; functions beyond all<br />

three yet in them all; extensive <strong>and</strong> intensive; beneath<br />

yet manifested; abstract <strong>and</strong> concrete; present yet within<br />

past <strong>and</strong> future. One minute includes all three periods of<br />

time. Thus the powers of the Buddha working for<br />

salvation are uninhibited by time or space. The highest<br />

theories of exoteric philosophy <strong>and</strong> the highest Tantric<br />

practices (six-element yoga) here are achieved, <strong>and</strong> all<br />

four sizes of vajra-mind—the third form—function<br />

together, interpenetrating <strong>and</strong>, finally, harmonized.<br />

No matter how powerful the vajra may be <strong>and</strong> how<br />

excellently a meditator may practice, it does not<br />

function as a voice for preaching. That is why the vajra<br />

is always accompanied by the vajra-bell. The meditator<br />

may ask, "Who will hold this powerful couple of vajra<br />

<strong>and</strong> bell?" The practice of personification of the<br />

Buddha-body should be performed next. Then, the<br />

Buddha again calls the attention of the meditator. This is<br />
