i. Outwardly: offerings for the lower three<br />

yogas—no meat should be given.<br />

ii. Inwardly: offerings for the highest yoga—meats<br />

<strong>and</strong> spirits are both used.<br />

c. Secretly. The offering is accompanied by all the<br />

dakinis of the five Buddha-families, the three holy<br />

places of the dakini, <strong>and</strong> the twenty-four m<strong>and</strong>alas<br />

dedicated to them, <strong>and</strong> those of the Akanistha Pure L<strong>and</strong><br />

itself, to make both female <strong>and</strong> male Buddhas happy.<br />

Even worldly women who nevertheless have some<br />

dakini nature—in fact all beautiful women of character<br />

<strong>and</strong> wisdom—should all be visualized as dancing,<br />

singing, <strong>and</strong> in the sixteen kinds of action mentioned in<br />

the Vajrayana.<br />

d. Most Secretly. This offering is of all the good things<br />

gained through the samadhis—such as wisdom-light,<br />

equanimity, joy, or Chan.<br />
