itself is discarded, everything, <strong>and</strong> through completely<br />

realized voidness one enters the bosom of the<br />

Dharmakaya, where one is protected from everything<br />

<strong>and</strong> where no demon can possibly do one any harm. All<br />

these conditions are very important.<br />

d. Vajrayana Practice. One should have learned enough<br />

of the methods of the Vajrayana in the position of<br />

consequence of Buddhahood. Even demons that are<br />

extremely hard to subdue will then be vanquished as the<br />

accounts of Padmasambhava relate.<br />

C. False Realizations<br />

1. General Insights. False realizations of insight are<br />

caused by the first nine of the following ten factors; the<br />

tenth is not false realization. They are:<br />

a. Caused by the five sk<strong>and</strong>has.<br />

Mr. Chen gave the example of a meditator's vision<br />

which instead of being the yidam was only the<br />

product of imagination.<br />

b. Caused by the distresses <strong>and</strong> delusions of daily living.<br />

c. Caused by sickness or duhkha, but appearing to be<br />

insights into the Four Noble Truths.<br />

d. Caused by the influence of karma.<br />

e. Caused by Mara, the demonic king, <strong>and</strong> his forces.<br />
