m<strong>and</strong>ala; whatever words one utters, these are the<br />

mantric syllables. As to the mind, bodhicitta is<br />

constantly present. In dream, sleep, work, or exercise,<br />

the meditation must be maintained. Therefore, there is<br />

no need to give a schedule because this meditation is in<br />

the position of consequence.)<br />

"Tantric wisdom uses the position of consequence as<br />

the position of cause."<br />

(Here one uses the wisdom of the final truth as one's<br />

instrument, <strong>and</strong> from this some functional salvation is<br />

reached. Tantric methods are always in the position of<br />

Buddhahood. It is quite different from Mahayana, in<br />

which sunyata seems to be the end of all things. In the<br />

Tantra, both the mental <strong>and</strong> material are integrated<br />

causes of salvation.)<br />

The last line of the poem reads:<br />

"If a little mistake is made, one will fall into hell.<br />

Always remember this."<br />
