. In the void body, visualize the three great yogic<br />

channels (to the left, the sasi; on the right, the mihira;<br />

<strong>and</strong> in the center, the susumna), all seen as void. The<br />

five or seven wheels (cakras) are also visualized <strong>and</strong><br />

perceived as void. It is most important to practice with<br />

the median channel <strong>and</strong> realize its void nature.<br />

Sometimes it is contracted to the fineness of a fiery hair,<br />

<strong>and</strong> sometimes exp<strong>and</strong>ed to a torrent of fire engulfing<br />

the three worlds (see Evans-Wentz).<br />

c. Practice the sunyata meditations of energy-breathing.<br />

During deep breathing, a breath should be held so that<br />

one can correspond its three stages of inhalation,<br />

holding, <strong>and</strong> exhalation with the three vajra wisdom<br />

syllables: OM—AH—HUM. This should be done very<br />

carefully <strong>and</strong> must, of course, be very finely<br />

accompanied by sunyata, so that the energy-breath<br />

becomes wisdom-energy. In most books this process is<br />

not given.<br />

Mr. Chen then laughed, asserting, "This is my<br />

d. Sunyata of essence. In the Tibetan Vajrayana there<br />

are two sorts of semen, the red (kun) <strong>and</strong> the white (tha),<br />

hence this practice is known as "kuntha." "Kun" refers<br />

to the five wisdoms <strong>and</strong> "tha" signifies the essence of<br />

the five elements. When the red one rises, the white<br />

goes down. Together they make Buddhahood, but they<br />

must correspond very exactly to the sunyata of wisdom<br />
