• Modify the report layout in the Layout Pane.<br />

Step 6 – Deploy the Report to Your <strong>Team</strong> <strong>Foundation</strong> <strong>Server</strong><br />

After you’ve made modifications to the report, you can deploy it to your team project’s<br />

reporting portal by using the following steps:<br />

1. In the Solution Explorer, right-click the report project and then click Properties.<br />

2. Ensure OverwriteDataSources is set to false.<br />

3. Modify TargetDataSourceFolder to reflect your team project name; for example:<br />

TargetDataSourceFolder = TestProject.<br />

4. Modify TargetReportFolder to reflect your team project name; for example:<br />

TargetDataSourceFolder = TestProject.<br />

5. Modify TargetDataSourceFolder to http:///reportserver; for<br />

example: TargetDataSourceFolder = http://tfsrtm/reportserver.<br />

6. Click OK.<br />

7. In the Solution Explorer, right-click on the rdl file and then click Deploy.<br />

8. Observe the Output Pane to verify successful completion.<br />

Step 7 – Test the Report<br />

Now that you have successfully customized your report and deployed it to your TFS<br />

server, perform the following steps to test the report:<br />

1. In <strong>Team</strong> Explorer expand you team project node, right-click on Reports and then<br />

click Show Report Site.<br />

2. On the report site select the report you just deployed.<br />

3. Verify that the report runs correctly.<br />
