You must clearly display your NPWS Exemption Card on the dashboard of your motor vehicle while you are in a fee charging park. Failure to clearly display the card so all details are clearly visible from the exterior of the car may result in an infringement. 6. You must have your valid NSW Pension Concession Card or Gold Card with you at all times as you may be required to confirm your exemption status. 7. Entry to parks and reserves may be restricted due to safety, conservation or operational requirements. 8. Your NPWS Exemption Card expires one year from the date your application is approved. Special Local Conditions<br />

1. Kosciuszko National <strong>Park</strong><br />

The NPWS <strong>Exemption</strong> Card is not valid in Kosciuszko National <strong>Park</strong>.<br />

To obtain entry to Kosciuszko National <strong>Park</strong>, please present your valid NSW <strong>Pensioner</strong><br />

Concession Card, NSW Extreme Disability Allowance, Intermediate Rate, Blinded, Totally &<br />

Permanently Incapacitated (TPI) or Temporarily Totally Incapacitated (TTI) Pension Card, along<br />

with photo identification to an NPWS Officer at one of the following five locations:<br />

- Alpine Way Vehicle Entrance Station;<br />

- Kosciuszko Road Vehicle Entrance Station;<br />

- Mt. Selwyn Vehicle Entrance Station;<br />

- Khancoban Visitor Centre; or<br />

- Yarrangobilly Caves Visitor Centre.<br />

The NPWS Officer will issue you with a motor vehicle specific Kosciuszko National <strong>Park</strong> NSW<br />

<strong>Pensioner</strong> Concession Pass (CP).<br />

Please note that the following conditions apply to the Kosciuszko CP:<br />

‐ the CP must be affixed to the windscreen on the driver’s side of the motor vehicle.<br />

‐ the CP is only available at the above locations.<br />

‐ the CP can be issued <strong>for</strong> a maximum of seven days, after which time another CP must be<br />

obtained.<br />

‐ lost, damaged, stolen or altered CPs can not be replaced.<br />

‐ CPs cannot be transferred between motor vehicles.<br />

Please note that park use fees apply to a vehicle:<br />

- if the NSW concession cardholder is not travelling in the motor vehicle when inspected.<br />

- if the NSW concession cardholder is unable to produce a valid concession card.<br />

- where the NSW concession cardholder cannot be identified at the time of entry to the park<br />

- if a CP is not displayed on the motor vehicle.<br />

- if all the details on the issued CP are not clearly visible from the exterior of the vehicle.<br />

- if the displayed CP has expired.<br />

- if the CP has been transferred to another vehicle.<br />

- if the CP has been lost, damaged, stolen or altered.<br />

Please note that refunds are not available on purchased day passes.<br />

2. Sydney Harbour National <strong>Park</strong> – Chowder Bay Precinct<br />

The NPWS <strong>Exemption</strong> Card is valid <strong>for</strong> a maximum of four hours per calendar day in the Chowder<br />

Bay Precinct of Sydney Harbour National <strong>Park</strong>. Visitors are required to purchase a ticket from the<br />

machines to top up your length of stay if you plan to visit <strong>for</strong> a longer period. A maximum of one<br />

<strong>Exemption</strong> Card can be used per motor vehicle per day.
