kirtland afb demos hh-60g The primary mission of the HH-60G helicopter is to conduct day or night operations in hostile environments to recover isolated personnel during a time of war. The HH-60G is also tasked to perform military operations other than war, including civil search and rescue, medical evacuation, disaster response, humanitarian assistance, security cooperation/aviation advisory, NAsA space flight support, and rescue command and control. cv-22 The cV-22 tiltrotor aircraft combines the vertical takeoff, hover and vertical landing qualities of a helicopter with the long-range, fuel efficiency and speed characteristics of a turboprop aircraft. Its mission is to conduct long-range infiltration, exfiltration and resupply missions for special operations forces. This self-deployable aircraft offers increased speed and range over other rotarywing aircraft, enabling Air Force special Operations command aircrews to execute long-range special operations missions. hc/mc-130 The Hc/Mc-130 primarily performs the tactical portion of the airlift mission. The aircraft is capable of operating from rough dirt strips and drops troops and equipment into hostile areas. The Hc/ Mc-130 operates throughout the u.s. Air Force, serving with Air education and Training command, Air Force special Operations command and many more. The flexible design of the c-130 enables it to be configured for many different missions, allowing for one aircraft to perform the role of many. band of the west The Air Force Band of the West is a musical organization with an outstanding record of achievement. Airmen assigned to the band are highly trained professional musicians who have dedicated themselves to serving their country through music. The Band of the West travels more than 125,000 miles annually and provides more than 300 performances to military and civilian audiences throughout Texas, Arizona, New Mexico and louisiana. The band has been an integral part of the music scene in the southwest for many years. static displays v-77 gullwing The V-77 is a single-engine high-wing monoplane manufactured by the stinson Aircraft Division of the Aviation Manufacturing corporation of Wayne, Mich. The V-77 has a 300-horse power lycoming R680-e3B engine and a single door on the left side. The traditional “Bump” cowl was replaced with a simpler smooth cowl. lifeguard lifeguard Aeromed provides complete bedside-to-bedside care to ensure the most efficient aeromedical transfer possible. The dispatch center is available 24 hours a day, with the goal of providing uninterrupted service and a seamless transition for both patients and providers. b-52h The B-52 is a long-range heavy bomber that can perform a variety of missions. The bomber is capable of flying at high subsonic speeds at altitudes up to 50,000 feet. The B-52 can perform strategic attack, close-air support, air interdiction, offensive counter-air and maritime operations. It can carry nuclear or precision guided conventional ordnance with worldwide navigation capabilities. uh-1n The uH-1N “Huey” is a light-lift utility helicopter used to support varied missions. Its primary mission includes airlift of emergency security and disaster response forces, emergency evacuation of key government officials, support for school training and testing, and airlift for distinguished visitors and missile support people. Other uses include airborne cable inspections and security surveillance. C-17 The c-17 is the newest, most flexible cargo aircraft to enter the airlift force. The c-17 is capable of rapid strategic delivery of troops and all types of cargo to main operating bases or directly to forward bases in the deployment area. The aircraft can perform tactical airlift and airdrop missions and can also transport litters and ambulatory patients during aeromedical evacuations when required. B-1 carrying the largest payload of both guided and unguided weapons in the Air Force inventory, the multimission B-1 is the backbone of America’s long-range bomber force. It can rapidly deliver massive quantities of precision and nonprecision weapons against any adversary, anywhere in the world, at any time. aviat husky The Aviat Husky is a twoseat, high-wing, utility light aircraft built by Aviat Aircraft of Afton, Wyo. It is the only all-new light aircraft that was designed and entered series production in the united states in the mid- to late-1980s. Design work by christen Industries began in 1985. The aircraft is one of the few in its class designed with the benefit of computer Aided Design software. The prototype first flew in 1986, and certification was awarded the following year. APD Eurocopter The eurocopter ec120 colibri is a 5-seat, singleengine, single main rotor, light helicopter. Jointly designed and developed by eurocopter, china National Aero-Technology Import & export corporation, Harbin Aviation Industries ltd. and singapore Technologies Aerospace ltd. at eurocopter France’s Marignane facility.
