FIRST TUESDAY CONNECTIONS
Are you feeling lonely, isolated or in need of some friendly
company? Why not come along to our monthly tea and chat
afternoons. They are held on the first Tuesday of the month in
St Peter's Church Room from 3.00 pm to 4:30 pm and you are
invited to drop in during these times.
The teapot is always at the ready and you can be sure of a
warm welcome. Our next dates are April 2nd and May 7th.

COMMUNITY POLICING AWARDS
Thames Valley Police are asking, have you been impressed with
the service given to your community by a member of your
neighbourhood policing team?
Residents of Berks, Bucks, and Oxfordshire are being asked to
nominate community police officers, Police Community Support
Officers (PCSOs), volunteers, and Speci al Constables who have
had a positive impact on their local community.
Do you know someone who fits the bill? (The ‘Bill’, ho-ho!). If
so, the TVP website, www.thamesvalley.police.uk has a form
where you can make a suitable nomination for this year’s award.

Abingdon Spring Show :- has the latest exhibition of the
Oxfordshire Craft Guild from April 11th to 14th, 10am to 5pm,
medieval Abbey Buildings, traditional crafts, modern design.
Calling Parents, Cornerstone, Didcot has a mass of Easter
Holiday activities for children, print-making, animation, Capoeira
(Brazilian martial art/dance fusion) & many more, half day up to

Oxfordshire Museum, Woodstock (closed Mons) :- current
exhibition (FREE) is the work of Oxfordshire Printmakers, up to
April 21st, to illustrate the broad techniques used in printmaking.
Cats Rescue, Newbury :- has their OPEN DAY to raise funds
on May 11th, at the Adoption Centre, 1pm to 4pm, admission 50p.

Adoption/Fostering Oxford charity PACT has an information
evening to encourage more families to consider adopting or
becoming a foster carer. It’s on Tues 16th April, 7-8.30pm, West
Oxford Community Centre, Botley Road, Oxford, with a short
talk by an adopter and time to ask questions and find out more
about adoption or dual approval (fostering with a view to adopt).
