FIRST TUESDAY CONNECTIONS<br />

Are you feeling lonely, isolated or in need of some friendly<br />

company? Why not come along to our monthly tea and chat<br />

afternoons. They are held on the first Tuesday of the month in<br />

St Peter's Church Room from 3.00 pm to 4:30 pm and you are<br />

invited to drop in during these times.<br />

The teapot is always at the ready and you can be sure of a<br />

warm welcome. Our next dates are <strong>April</strong> 2nd and May 7th.<br />

COMMUNITY POLICING AWARDS<br />

Thames Valley Police are asking, have you been impressed with<br />

the service given to your community by a member of your<br />

neighbourhood policing team?<br />

Residents of Berks, Bucks, and Oxfordshire are being asked to<br />

nominate community police officers, Police Community Support<br />

Officers (PCSOs), volunteers, and Speci al Constables who have<br />

had a positive impact on their local community.<br />

Do you know someone who fits the bill? (The ‘Bill’, ho-ho!). If<br />

so, the TVP website, www.thamesvalley.police.uk has a form<br />

where you can make a suitable nomination for this year’s award.<br />

Oxfordshire Craft Guild from <strong>April</strong> 11th to 14th, 10am to 5pm,<br />

medieval Abbey Buildings, traditional crafts, modern design.<br />

Calling Parents, Cornerstone, Didcot has a mass of Easter<br />

Holiday activities for children, print-making, animation, Capoeira<br />

(Brazilian martial art/dance fusion) & many more, half day up to<br />

Adoption/Fostering Oxford charity PACT has an information<br />

evening to encourage more families to consider adopting or<br />

becoming a foster carer. It’s on Tues 16th <strong>April</strong>, 7-8.30pm, West<br />

talk by an adopter and time to ask questions and find out more<br />

about adoption or dual approval (fostering with a view to adopt).<br />
