History
In the beginning what is now Kitfox Aircraft LLC began life as Denney
Aerocraft. Denney Aerocraft had the great idea of using ultralight technology to
produce a “real” aircraft that was light weight, simple and easy to build.
Starting with the Kitfox Model 1 and ending with the Kitfox Model IV, the
Denny designs gained fame for their excellent short field performance, folding
wings for transport and their affordability.
In 1992, Denney Aerocraft became SkyStar Aircraft Corp. and a faster, larger
line of Kitfox’s emerged. In 1995, Lycoming and Continental engines were
added to a new Kitfox design.
Today a new era begins. The Kitfox Super Sport takes advantage of some of the
ideas from the larger, faster Kitfox’s and brings it back towards it’s roots as a
light weight, easy to build excellent short field performer that is simply a joy to
build and fly.

Assembly
YOU can do it… No special tools or fixtures are needed. Your Kitfox can be
assembled in a small garage. Fabric work is one of the easiest of all aircraft
specific skills to learn and has been around for a very long time. Today’s fabric
covering is much easier and quicker than the old days. The 350+ page assembly
manual, one of the industries best, breaks the “big jobs” down into small easy to
perform steps with 100’s of drawings and actual photos to cover the details. The
manual also serves as the FAA required assembly record and a maintenance
reference.
