The project under the D.O.T.’s Transportation Enhancement program (ID 9898-00-00) consists of an approximate 3.2 mile section of trail from the Conover Town Park to Muskrat Creek Road and for restroom facilities in the Conover Park. Proposals are due not later than 12:00 p.m. on August 23, 2011. The Town of Conover reserves the right to accept or reject any or all items in the proposals. Detailed project specifications including the DOT TE Application, attachments and Statement of Qualifications can be obtained from the town’s website www.townofconover.com and then clicking on the tab “Bidding on Projects.” Please respond back to this correspondence immediately if you wish to be considered for this project. The Town of Conover hopes that the construction phase can begin in mid 2012 if at all possible. The Conover segment is the beginning of a planned 30+ mile bike-ped trail system for Eastern Vilas County which the Great Headwaters Trail Foundation hopes to develop over the next 10 years.
