εκδόσεις του Φεστιβάλ Κινηματογράφου Θεσσαλονίκης
και ακολουθούν τις περιπέτειες της διαδρομής των βιβλίων
στην πόλη.
Φαρενάιτ 451. Η κλασική ταινία του François Truffaut, βγαλμένη
από τις λέξεις του Ray Bradbury, έρχεται σε αντιδιαστολή με
το παγκόσμιο κίνημα του BookCrossing. BookCrossing είναι το να
αφήνεις βιβλία σε παγκάκια, καφετέριες, μνημεία, κινηματογράφους
και όπου αλλού μπορείς να σκεφτείς, και μετά να παρακολουθείς
ηλεκτρονικά το ταξίδι που κάνουν, περνώντας από τον
έναν αναγνώστη που τα βρίσκει, στον άλλο. Αυτό γίνεται μέσω
της ιστοσελίδας του BookCrossing.com.

Thessaloniki’s own BookCrossers ‘liberate’ the older editions
of the International Film Festival and follow the adventures
of the routes taken by books in the city.
Fahrenheit 451, the classic film by François Truffaut based on
the Ray Bradbury novel of the same name, lies in contradistinction
to the global BookCrossing movement. BookCrossing is the
activity of leaving a book behind on a public bench, in a cafe, at
a monument, in a cinema and wherever else one can think of,
and then electronically monitoring the trip taken by the book as
it passes from one reader to the next. This takes place though
the website www.bookcrossing.com.
In the future world of Fahrenheit 451, books are burnt; in the
present one of BookCrossing, books are released into the wild
so as to find their next reader. This, because reading is what the
cinema is, too: A great, endless trip.
