Footlocker Activities Expand
The demand for the Dare to Dream team
has drastically increased along with the
request for footlocker activities. The
team has acquired several grants for
the purchase of enrichment equipment,
supplies, footlocker activities and teacher
workshops. The Boeing Corporation
awarded a grant to the division to conduct
eight science, math and engineering
workshops to K-12 teachers. Some of
these purchases also will enhance RSC
courses, such as the StarLab portable
planetarium. Not only will it enhance the
educational experience of the area public
school students, but RSC students may
experience enhancement in the areas of
astronomy, meteorology, geology, cell
biology and genetics.
