REST BREAKS:<br />

<strong>Part</strong>-time hourly employees are authorized and permitted to take a 10-minute break for every<br />

4 hours worked, if the work day is at least 3.5 hours long.<br />

<strong>BGCP</strong> authorizes and permits rest breaks according to the following schedule:<br />

MEAL PERIODS:<br />

<strong>Part</strong> time hourly employees may take a thirty minute unpaid meal period if the workday is 5<br />

hours or more. If an employee only works 6 hours the meal period can be waived by mutual<br />

consent of the employer and employee.<br />
