<strong>Scholarship</strong><br />
The Association of Illinois Township Committees on Youth is a statewide voice and resource for<br />
community-based human services agencies, which provide educational, emotional, recreational, and<br />
social opportunities for youth and families. AITCOY offers this award based on the following criteria:<br />
Applicant must demonstrate an interest and has participated in serving his or her community, have a “B”<br />
grade point average or above, has demonstrated leadership qualities, and has a plan to pursue college and<br />
major in a social science field. This education award is for $500.00. The application is available at<br />
www.aitcoy.org.<br />
The <strong>2012</strong> Student-View <strong>Scholarship</strong> program is offering $10,000 worth of scholarships to high school<br />
seniors who plan to attend a four-year college/junior college or careers school. Simply log on to<br />
www.student-view.com and complete a 15-20 minute application survey about colleges in your area.<br />

Club<br />
Applicants inlcude <strong>Lemont</strong> resident high school seniors and adult women returning to school. Looking for<br />
applicants with a history of community service, a demonstrated commitment to volunteerism, and a strong<br />
acadeic performance. Applications are at local area high schools, <strong>Lemont</strong> Park District, <strong>Lemont</strong> Public 4/23/<strong>2012</strong><br />

B. Davis <strong>Scholarship</strong><br />
Chicago and Northwestern Indiana area salon owners and Great Clips, Inc. are sponsoring five (5) $500<br />
scholarships for individuals interested in pursuing a career in cosmetology or barbering after graduation<br />
from high school. These scholarships can be used at any accredited cosmetology or barbering school in<br />
Central/Northern Illinois and Northwestern Indiana. Applications are in the PPS office.<br />

Joint Civic Committee of Italian Americans <strong>Scholarship</strong> to male students: A $2,000 to male student of<br />
50% Italian ancestry who is already enrolled in an accredited college/university; or is a senior in high<br />
school and accepted for enrollment by an accredited college/university, and has a grade point average of 5/9/<strong>2012</strong><br />
3.75 or higher on a 4.0 scale. Application must be submitted by May 9th. Applications can be found in the<br />
PPS office and at www.jccia.com.<br />

for scholarships. Our website was developed solely for the purpose of helping students locate and apply<br />
for scholarships. We are trying to improve the students’ chances for success. The site is free and we<br />
charge nothing for the information or the application. The deadline for applications is May 28, <strong>2012</strong>.<br />
