<strong>Tipp</strong> <strong>City</strong> <strong>Schools</strong> will receive $25,000 during the next four years for a total of $100,000 awarded<br />
through the Race to the Top grant.<br />
Dollars will be used to cover the cost of :<br />
1. Support for increasing graduation rate within our district<br />
2. Standards and assessment- alignment of curriculum to new State Standards (substitute teacher<br />
coverage for Curriculum Committee)<br />
3. Using data to improve instruction:<br />
a. Time to meet as teams to study data (substitute teacher coverage)<br />
b. Consideration of dollars will be used toward a data tool, and professional development to<br />
learn how to effectively use data tool.<br />
c. Teachers and leaders—peer coaching/peer observation, training for Ohio Principal Evaluation and<br />
Ohio Residency Mentor Program (substitute teacher coverage and registration fees for training)<br />

Boys Basketball will play at HOME this Friday, December 10 against CBC Rival,<br />
Tecumseh. Game time is 7:30. CBC Policy is that all tickets are $6.00 at the gate for<br />
boys’ basketball games – both home and away. Students can purchase $4.00 presale<br />
tickets at Clark’s, The Booster Fan Store and the High School Athletic Office. Please<br />
remember that <strong>Tipp</strong>ecanoe receives 100% of all basketball presale revenue and ZERO at<br />
an away game. Purchase your student presale tickets in advance – this is all students<br />
grades 1 thru 12!!!<br />
During halftime State Qualifying Girls Cross Country Team and our Girls Cross Country<br />
State Champion – Katie Landwehr will be recognized.<br />
Friday will also be the Parents Who Care Chili Supper!!! Warm up with some great Chili!!!!!<br />
