Here We Come A-Caroling….! Here we come a-caroling Among the leaves so green, Here we come a wand'ring, So fair to be seen…. In an effort to spread some holiday cheer, Broadway Elementary First Graders caroled through SpringMeade Retirement Community. This is their second year and is a First grade enrichment activity. Both the children and the residents loved the caroling. I Believe…. The Tipp City Community Services sponsored Breakfast with Santa, Saturday, December 4 th at Broadway Elementary. Children and their parents stood in line to speak to Santa. The children also made reindeer food, crafted Christmas decorations, played Christmas Bingo and ate cookies and milk. Tipp Middle School STARSS Presented A Christmas Collection On December 7 th , Tippecanoe Middle School STARSS presented A Christmas Collection, a Reader’s Theatre written by the Semester 1 Creative Writing Class. The elves were taking a cocoa and cookie break at the North Pole while Santa and Mrs. Claus entertained them with stories. The featured stories were The Smallest Elf by Haley Miller, The Night before Christmas by Gabe Callicoat, Cookies for Christmas by Chloe Culpepper, The Ultimate Gift by Jordan McMahan, The Bittersweet Gift by Presley Cruz, and A Note from Santa by Erika Brownlee. Lane Vulkovic portrayed Santa, and Jasmine Fletcher was Mrs. Claus. Portraying elves and various other characters were Rachel Jenkins, Nikita Parks, Meghan Kauffmann, Lydia Guevara, Claire Heatherly, Nicole Lange, and Ashleigh Hood. Following the performance, the audience was treated with punch and cookies. All agreed that it was a wonderful way to spread some Holiday Cheer! Nevin Coppock Students gave their Best Performance! Going along with the Nevin Coppock Elementary building theme of ―The Greatest Show on Earth‖ – ―Giving our Best Performance Everyday‖; the students photographed gave their Best Performance and was selected to come to the November Ringmaster’s Breakfast.
Broadway Elementary Super Citizens for November! Third Grade Second Grade The Super Citizen word for November was ―Trustworthy‖. The Broadway Elementary students pictured were chosen by their teachers for being very Trustworthy and were treated to breakfast. First Grade The L.T. Ball Intermediate School Fifth Graders Graduate from DARE! The first session of Fifth Graders have completed and graduated from the DARE Program that Tipp City Police, Dan Rittenhouse, teaches. Essay winners were Hannah Chaplin from Mrs. Oen’s class, Laura Fink from Mrs. Hanes room, Allyson Edwards from Mr. Mckinney’s class and Alissa Buynak from Mrs. McClurg’s class. 50,000 Bonus Box Tops from Box Tops For Education! Toni McQuown looked at her Meijer’s register coupons and couldn’t believe what she saw. One of her register coupons was for 50,000 Bonus Box Tops from Box Tops For Education! The 50,000 bonus box tops equates to $5000 for the L.T. Parents Association. Toni’s daughter, Taylor McQuown is pictured with her certificate. The Great Bedtime Story Pajama Drive! Scholastic Book Clubs paired up with classrooms across the country to provide 25,000 children in need with brand-new pajamas and books. L.T. Ball Fourth graders from Mrs. Brogan, Mrs. Moore, Mrs. Paulet, Mrs. Ker, Mrs. Wood and Mrs. Rhodes’ classes donated seventy-seven brand new pairs of pajamas! For every pair of pajamas donated Scholastic Books will match it with a new book. The L.T. Ball students were able to share the gift of a good night’s sleep and a sweet bedtime story
